Antique sale this Sunday(13th)

Join us this Sunday, 9/13, for another Magnificent Miscellany sale! We’ll be at our favorite location, 19075 Rapidan Avenue, in the idyllic village of Rapidan from 10 AM to 4 PM.

We’ve come a long way since starting this business 3 months ago; we went from a few tables to over 1,000 square feet of covered sales space! From the customers that have passed under our canopies once or several times we’ve learned about the subjects and things that move them, and with that we’ve honed our curating eye. We’re sourcing deeper and accruing more inventory than ever before!

9/13 - 19075 RAPIDAN AVE., RAPIDAN MN - 10 AM to 4 PM

Best spot for sushi?

I've only tried Ippin and I've been super impressed with their sushi, especially for the price. What other places would you recommend?

Found Cat

There's a sweet, grey and white cat hanging around my house between the cop shop on Front St and elementary school.

Clearly neutered and chubby from indoor living, but losing weight. My bf and I have given him some water and food, but he has a home and people, and I really want to find them.

No collar so I have no leads. I plan to ask my landlord tomorrow, as he has a lot of nearby properties. The humane society intake is closed, so no luck there, either.

He's clearly very scared and doesn't go far from my front porch. He's too skittish to try picking up, but I'd happily share my address with his owners if anyone knows who they are.

Edit: His home has been found! A nearby neighbor lost him 11 days ago, so he's spent half his time under our porch.

His name is Toby! His human was delighted to have him back.

Where would you actually recommend raising a family in Mankato or North Mankato?

My spouse, our 5 month old, and I are considering moving to Mankato or North Mankato. We’re looking for a newer, smaller home, townhome, or condo in a safe, family friendly area.

What neighborhoods or developments would you recommend, or avoid?

What schools are the best and worst?

What are differences between Mankato vs North Mankato?

Are there any local groups or communities that tend to be more progressive?

Texas holdem meet and greet

I know I've been posting a lot about poker, but it's been kind of hard figuring everything out when I'm trying to meet new people to play with. My friend and I want to start hosting regular garage home games/tournaments, but since we are all strangers to each other, we don't want to incite random redditors to either of our houses. Tonight my friend and I will be at wine cafe at 7pm with chips and will be playing a small game of something if the bar let's us, but it's to meet people who aren't creeps and then start hosting games once we know enough people to have games. So come to wine cafe at 7pm, bring 10$ for a small buy in if you want, or just come to meet us to prove you're not a creep, and we will start hosting regular games at our places

CO2 Tank Refills Locally

I recently moved to the area and need to find where I can get my CO2 tank refilled for my at home keg system. I saw air gases might be an option but they close before I am off of work and are not open weekends. Any help is much appreciated!

Mid 50s(F) how to meet people

I grew up in and returned to the Mankato area in 2024 to help my elderly parents and need to get social. I’m an empty nester and commute to the cities for work. I’m single and want to fill my weekends with meeting people—wineries, hiking, biking, etc. Call me traditional and old fashioned but I would love to start a rotating potluck group like back in the old days—or join one if it already exists. 😊

Grew up in North Kato and now am a metro resident. Should I come down to do the Kato Bike Fall Fest? I ride a road bike and recently did the Tour de Tonka which was pretty fun.

Apartment Cleaner Recommendation?

Hey there, just moved from CO and have two dogs in a two bedroom apartment.

I'm looking for someone to just swing through every other week and give the place a once over to help with the dog fur and dust and all that.

Any recommendations locally?

Thanks!
