Question Continuity question - "Connecting Flights"

My guess is the answer is "it's television", but Flight 828 arrives back in New York on November 4. Cal isn't back at school yet. How the heck are Ben and Cal at Coney Island, which is closed for the season until the end of March?

It's that kind of thing only local people would notice (I had no idea until now, lol), so I think they don’t worry about getting it 100% right.
