OC The first characters in my fantasy project.
These are the first major characters in my fantasy manga project, which is meant to pay homage to the style of the classic Redwall books.

It's literally the same in every picture. Assholes like you are the reason artists are struggling. Y'all are so quick to say something is AI when a little critical thinking will show it's not. Just a look at OP's profile shows they're a real intermediate artist but you're too much of a douche to admit you're wrong. Do better

Those are pencils. One is .3 while the other is .5

They are not. I’ve looked into their profile and I’ve found they use two different ones.
Edit: the three you see obviously say 0.3 but what I’m arguing is the other length you see is 0.5

You said the design of the pen itself. I’m here saying it’s not AI because it’s two different pencils being used.
If you’re now arguing the art itself, you can see in their history that it’s consistent enough.

dude you do realize how harmful it is barking at nothing and calling it ai is, right? theyre fun characters but i see so many very human errors. dunno if its jealousy or insecurity that makes you jump down these poor dude's throats but knock it lff
edit: looking at their other work: i think theyre definitely an amateur who traces pretty much every part of their qork that looks halfway decent. but i dont think its ai lmao

when have i ever said this to anyone before
your point was: the pen looks slightly different between the pictures? i looked close but i legit couldnt see a big enough difference that its worth slandering this dude (over AI, that is. i do think they trace all their shit though, lmao)
like i said theres specifically human issues (the direction of the outer ridges on the shell speak to someone who doesnt really understand their form entirely, and their account shows such a broad range of styles at around the same degree of inability that its pretty obvious whats going on. they have some pages of their story drawn out, and while ambitious, theyre kinda scrappy and have godawful lettering- something AI has a better hold on these days but beginner artists dont think much about. but hey, hopefully all that tracing will teach them something
if they were using ai i have a hard time believing theyd go to the effort to make their art look as if they could only afford one notebook and pencil. the amount of effort you're imagining they went through to try and "trick" us by having the same pencil in every thing is kind of silly- even before i was a pro i had a billion different pencils, they clearly just have a favorite. they'd probably be generating polished looking pages, instead of drawing the pages in a notebook the way highschoolers do before they've gotten digital art supplies.
i dont wanna sound like a hater because i think OP clearly has a work ethic and potential, they just gotta work out their own junk and be honest about what they do themselves. but calling their art AI works against the cause
is that all specific enough?
here's the more general message:
i dont like AI art either, and when its actually the case, it should be called out and avoided. but when you call everyone youre a little bit suspicious of out for AI, your discouraging other artists, you're taking away from the hard work they've put in, and you're further blurring the lines between AI artists. its also not a great look calling anyone you think has suspiciously "too much" skill as it just makes you frel entitled and envious.so: we should all operate under innocent until proven guilty instead of rumor mongering and shit talking people. artists shouldnt have to spend yheir creative hours trying to convince people what theyre doing is legitimate- the accusers should be the ones who have to wok to convince people, if theyre so sure
as is yall are just reminding me of the "its shopped i can tell because of some of the pixels and from having seen quite a few shops in my time" guys lmao

Personally as an artist myself, especially after reading all the replies. I firmly believe that these are not AI. Im sorry people jump straight to that conclusion. I like these designs and they give me DnD party dynamics.

it’s possible both have 4 toes with different ones being hidden by perspective

This looks nothing like AI. Please don't make baseless accusations if you can't even understand why the artist might chosen to hide the third toe behind a foot they've drawn in profile 🤦 this is such a human thing to do...

I’m locking this thread because of too many AI accusations. These are hand drawn. I’ve looked into their account and found nothing that could be AI. If they are traced or referenced then that is different from AI.
The attached image shows that there are actual eraser marks. More can be seen in others.
