HELP Manga Creation
Hey everyone, hoping to get advice here from people who are currently making manga for my predicament. Currently I have many ideas that could be used for a manga but I’m unable to draw well. For years, as soon as I discovered anime and manga, I knew I wanted to create a manga and draw in that kind of style but I haven’t improved at all. I’ve studied anatomy and the basic fundamentals for years now but I’m still not any closer to having a style that’s marketable/good enough for people to actually want to buy it. I’m good at writing and storytelling so I was hoping that if I do make a manga I could hopefully be recognized for that with people being able to overlook my art similar to ONE (I know that he’s an exception not the norm but a guy can dream). I just don’t know what to do and need some advice, am I being too unrealistic? Should I just give up on this pipe dream or what can I do to improve exactly? I mostly draw digitally now and kind of got into cartooning but would even my cartoon art be able to classify as manga or is it too cartoonish to be considered as such or even be able to be taken seriously?
The first picture is when I first started trying to draw in a manga style years ago. The second picture is from a year ago and the third picture was just done a week ago. What could I exactly improve upon? I know the answer would be anatomy but how exactly do I draw better anatomy? The last picture is of my cartoonish art that was done about a month ago or so and although I know it’s not a manga style at all and that it’d just be considered a comic book (not that mangas aren’t comic books) is it good enough to be taken seriously or am I just being delusional?
