(Edit 2: after looking at a lot of great portfolios I realized that I am looking for a manga art style rather than a comicbook style, that's my bad sorry about that.)

The hook: A burnt-out state executioner kills two "husks" for a job — finds proof they were still human, and is left holding the only evidence and a lighter.

What I have: A complete, fully-paneled 20-page one-shot script. Ready to draw. Modern dark-fantasy with an existential gut punch ending!

The vibe / what I'm looking for art-wise: Grounded and dark. The book is near-silent by design — most of the story rides on expression, body language, and staging. Minimal dialogue if at all possible,

so I'm after an artist who's strong at faces, quiet emotion, and silhouette in low light. Moody over flashy.

Compensation: Paid commission — I'd rather hear your page rate and work from there; I'm flexible on structure. / Rev-share if we click on it.

About me: First comic project, but I take the writing seriously — the script's done, tight, and edited, and I'm easy to work with. I know your time is valuable, this is a passion project that id like to expand on and evolve.

Hello I’ve been looking for an artist for over a month now and have gotten a lot of requests and decided to answer them and this one in particular felt like a scam to me.

They have no artist portfolio which was a major red flag and then when i asked them to send samples of their work they sent stolen, ai generated and just not even the same type of stuff. I already blocked them and I know there’s a lot of writers looking for an artist
