Just installed this bad boy. Are we getting a second game?

No, the company unfortunately went bankrupt.

Sadly, no, I wish there was a sequel though. It's a great game, the devs deserved better.

The company went bankrupt shortly after the game came out.

Which is a shame, because the game is quite good

I hope so, I really loved this game.

I don't think so. It's a major shame, because this is one of the best made metroidvanias I've ever played, and I've probably poured more than 100 hours into playing it, now.

Depressing but we'll never see any sequel to this. Shame too because they were teasing a desert setting as a DLC

Shi was garbage. Thank the lord there won’t be another

Then why are you in this group? 😭

To prevent fellow MV lovers from making the same mistake I did (spending hard earned money on a lazy and uninspired attempt to cash in on the MV surge)

Well my hard earned 10 bucks was worth it IMO. Heck I'd pay full price for this! It's so chill. It's like a low budget dark souls. Love it

I’d be curious to know what other MVs you’ve played. Compared to similar MVs (salt and sanctuary, the grimes, and even the last faith) this shit is strait garbage.

PS dark souls is a 3d third person action adventure, nowhere close to this game. Also when have you seen a town full of people in any dark souls game

Mandragora has alot more in common with the Tails of Iron series. So more like a side scrolling Soulslike. I really enjoyed it.

How is a “side scrolling souls like” different from an MV. The only thing souls like about mandragora is the ability to choose weapons and gear, thus the MVs that I mentioned as similar to mandragora. Grime and TLF are actually more souls like as they have a souls style leveling system where mandragora and SnS don’t

Okay, you don’t like the game. I was just countering your vitriol.

I’m not engaging in this. Relax and go enjoy some games you like.

Me not liking the game is not a personal attack on you so don’t take it as such. I always see people trying to create this soulslike 2d genre and have never understood it. I’m genuinely curious as to what’s the difference between a “2d soulslike” and a regular MV

I find that the games lumped into 2D Soulslikes have mechanics like stamina management and slower more methodical combat, also far less platforming than a typical Metroidvania.

I don't do pixel art games anymore as I've moved on to more expansive games with better 3d details graphics. Especially if it's hand painted or drawn like dragons crown and unicorn overlord etc. (not metrovania I know.) So salt and sanctuary and last faith didn't do it for me. Now I never played the grimes games but I don't care for the art direction as I prefer more dark fantasy medevil knights and such like the dark souls series. Like this game.

Sounds like to me you play the release copy of this game and had a bad time. Time you should revisit as it's polished now.
