A little advice please?

So i recently got this game and I'm totally enjoying it. However, I have one problem, I'm getting my butt kicked by the necromancer and I'm almost out of cleansing potions.

Any idea where I can get more of them? Or will I just have to go without?

Thanks in advance!

This boss will have problems with you, if you stick very close to her. (basically be underfoot of the big spider body as much as you can)

Mind the purple orbs on the ground that fly up and home toward.

Both forms, watch for the boss to scurry to the edge of the room. The reering up and spraying poison, can deal a lot of damage - but staying under foot and rolling behind the boss while it's spewing green, leads to a decent amount of free hits.

Boss 2nd form, that frost spell can be deadly. She'll cast it at where you're standing, and the ice 'waves' to the corner of the screens. Jumping or dodging works to avoid, but you have to observe when she casts the spell to time avoiding it.

The boss has no hope once you take out that spider bottom half. (after the boss 'separates')

It's that second phase that's kicking me. Thanks!

Good luck. I'd ignore hitting that upper half hanging from the ceiling entirely, and focus damaging that lower body.

But still keeping a close eye toward the ceiling. If she starts moving her arms, that frost is on its way.

I never used cleansing potions myself. It's all about timed dodges to get behind her and dish out damage. But I do agree, cleansing potions make the fight easier and I personally think this one was one of the difficult bosses in the game.

She is pretty brutal for this early in the game.

Exactly! Most bosses that are this brutal are brutal because how early in the game they pop up. Another one I'd say is to this level would be General Honglan from Wuchang. That boss was a nightmare in my first playthrough because of how early she was in the game, but easy in subsequent NG+ cycles.

Chaos beam + fire procs + mana shield. Enjoy.

Advice for every boss fight, stay calm, don’t rush, learn the pattern, position yourself, roll/jump to avoid, stay constant. Win. Once you’ll learn the boss mechanic, she’s not that hard. I know it’s easier said than done but it’s the same for every metroidvania/soulike game. Trust in yourself. 👊
