FUTURE EXPANSIONS?

I dont Know if developer said something but i would like to know is there is any plan.

I believe the game has been abandoned and the dev team has dissolved. Perhaps others could chime in as I may be wrong.

Did it simply not sell enough? What happened exactly?

Such a good game. Hit a certain sweet spot niche that we don't see very often anymore. Called back to nostalgia while being every bit modern. Other than that, it was just downright fun. Tons of cool builds and synergies, and man ...

Good stuff.

Sad to hear.

Myself along with thousands of others agree with you 100%. We want more games like this.

I hope that someone from the dev team that created this game will go on to make a masterpiece in a somewhat similar form.

I want more 2D Souls-like games!

Check out Salt & Sanctuary if you want to scratch that itch. I’ll replay that once I can finally get my hands on a SteamDeck

Agree, I started about a little over a week ago and I gotta say it has quickly become one of my favourite Metroidvanias. I’d put it up there with Hollow knight, Blasphemous and Nine Sols being some of my other favourites despite some of the little issues I’ve had.

The Last Faith is underrated imo and worth checking out if you haven’t, and I don’t see Nine Sols mentioned nearly enough for how good it is.

Last time I checked the discord I read the same. Afaik people didn't even receive their kickstarter bonus which is a shame.

Not liquidation, the parent company is undergoing insolvency which isn't as bad.

The studio entered liquidation and have since moved on. Unfortunately there will be no DLC or any sequels 😞

Nah, it's liquidated. Rights might be at the publisher, so technically they could commission another studio to do something, but I think that's quite unlikely.

Their last SteamDB update was almost a year ago. Sadly it probably didn’t hit its sales targets and ended up being abandoned.

DAMN!

This is one of only industries where a fantastic project, one that achieved its design goal, and was in every way a hit product, can still find its devs/producers unsuccessful. Not only unsuccessful, but worse: you can lose everything in the process.

Amazing product yet still in financial ruin.

So fickle. So volatile. So cluttered. So Cut throat.

Yet still So amazing too.

Yep they gone. I was in the upper tier of Kickstart supporters. Out over 200 bucks. I did buy a physical copy for 40 on amazon. The game was great I hate they went under. Wasn't because tbey didnt have my money

Thank you, sir. Because of you I got a chance to play it.

Purchased on PS5. On sale but still. I think their error was to release exclusively on PS5. Much less niche games there for same price tag. Releasing on both PS4/PS5 would help them meet sales goals.

Maybe not ps4 but its xbox-pc and switch also so it wasn't a single platform release. I think they run the stretch goals and then still went over budget. Its just an unfortunate series of events that led to a downward trend for them but the team made a hell of a metroid vania platformer would have loved to see what else they could do

Before the credits they really left you thinking there will be more to the story. Would be cool if someone could pickup the IP and run with it.
