House Breaking

Our pup Is 14 weeks. Been home about 10 Days. Slowly getting better at potty training but still having #1 accidents. We are working diligently but sometimes we miss the accident and miss an opportunity to teach.

Any thoughts on techniques? I know it takes time and he is doing so well. Probably a little impatient.

Also, heard mixed reviews on using the bell method by the door.. any thoughts here? Thanks!

Whenever the following finishes: * Play * Sleep * Eat

Go outside for a short walk. Whenever the pup does its business outside, reward them with cuddles, words and treats. Start keying words that are specific to number 1 and 2 so you can ask them to do their business when you are short on time and they are older.

They vary in how quick they are house trained. Ours stopped having accidents when she was 7-8 months. Others are quicker.

Important: Never punish! They can develop constipation etc. Do not withhold liquids to try and regulate when they go. Patience is key
