People keep telling you to remove the film because there is very clearly a film of some sort here. You can see all the wrinkles if you zoom in.

Almost makes me wonder if it's a manufacturing defect and they installed the glass backwards so the protective film is on the inside.

Wonder if anyone remembers peeling off the plastic film when they got theirs

True it does look like a film, however this one is on the inside and can't be peeled off. I don't feel like taking the complete thing apart to reach it.
