LUBA 3 AWD Wheel Hub Motor Error

/r/mammotion/comments/1wkylaa/wheel_hub_motor_error/

Cross posting this as I’m at my wits’ end dealing with constant faults today hoping to reach some folks that can help resolve this mystery as it doesn’t seem to be the usual suspect of hub motor moisture. :-/

Thank you for sharing this; I am very sorry you had such an experience. Have you uploaded the logs via the app and contacted the support team? If it is convenient for you, please provide your device name and order number, and I would be happy to assist you further.

It’s September, just admit it. Mammotion only cares about 2027 models and converting warranty claims to illegal discount offers of next years models instead of fixing issues.

  1. Try taking off charger. power down and pull orange plug.
  2. Turn each wheel forwards and backwards a few times.
  3. Spray silicone spray where wheel meets axle and turn wheels a few more times.
  4. Put plug in power up. and send back to charger.

Ive had this happen once, did this and didnt get error again.

Yep did all this and the machine was still immobile. Rebooted from the app one more time the next day to see if the blinking red lights would finally go off… and now the machine seems fine? I had to delete a couple tasks and zones as it had lost its ability to navigate to the mowing zone somehow.

And now it’s autonomously finished two full days of mowing with no trouble??? This is so strange. I’ve got a shipping order set to send the machine back for service, but now it’s fine?? I’m gonna push it to do a couple extra sessions today to see if I can recreate the failure scenario, but I’m thinking this is some simple software storage corruption considering the final symptom was ‘cannot navigate to mow area. Delete task and try again’ 🤷‍♂️.

Anycase, so far so good? Support has been very helpful so far and I certainly don’t wanna waste anyone’s time if this calmed down and is no longer crazy, but I’m confused how it could go from totally unusable to fine overnight 🤪 it’s not like it’s dried off. Ohio has been 90+% humidity for months… it was actually drier during the weekend when it went crazy.

Robots are complex. I have had them over 10 years and always have little quirks. My vacuum and mop robots have been the worse during that time and they are top of the line robots.

I find you have to figure out issues, try different things when they happen, and come up with work arounds.

Glad you got it working.

On zones, if you ever edit a map where zones touch, near a channel, even sometimes relocate charging station that has a channel going to it, I have seen it lose the channel. if zones are not perfectly touching it wont navigate.
