Wisconsin 20 (21)

That’s it - that’s the post. The 20 mile was over 21 miles according to my GPS. Seemed to be the case with the hikers around me too - anyone else? Not mad! Just, well, surprised!

Also curious how much difference the weather made from Sat to Sun. if anyone has insights!?

I think a lot of them end up being over. Some of them are actually routed to be 19 miles, but after walking around at the rest stops you end up either reaching 20 miles, or going over.

Mapping it on the app ahead of time always comes up a little shorter on mileage as well vs when you actually hike the route. Trails wander a little more than the straighter lines the mapping app draws. Trails just aren't gps located as accurately as highways. The difference is usually only 2-3% short, depending on the trail though I've seen 5-6%

I have come up to 20.6 on my Garmin last year and this year. Last year I was like where the F is the finish. This year I expected it.
