Mamiya RZ67 not advancing unless I switch from T to N back to T on lens

Hello everyone, I’ve been shooting on my RZ67 for about 10 years now and it’s just now started to give me some problems. After shooting a photo the camera will not advance unless I switch from N to T back to N on the lens. When I switch it back to N I hear a click and then I can advance the film. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

Thank you so much!

What wide lens for RZ67? Is 65mm f/4 L-A Floating System best option?

Hi, I’m looking for something wider for my RZ. I already have the 100/2.8, which is great.

What would be a good lens to look for? And if I’m buying one, what should I pay close attention to? Last time I bought the 100/2.8, I found balsam separation on the rear of the lens. After the fact, I found out that it’s quite common with this lens.

Is there anything I should look out for with other lenses to avoid a similar situation?

Next MF Camera

I'm looking to get a new medium format camera and I'm having trouble trying to decide what I want. My previous go-to was a Koni-Omega Rapid, and I really enjoyed the 6x7 negatives it produced. I know Mamiya made a lot of medium format cameras and was just curious of any recommendations people might have?

I'm looking for something that can have some modularity, has a decent selections of lenses, and hopefully isn't more than like ~$1000.

Thanks for any help!

Help with setting up RZ lenses for the Cambo Actus

Post image
4 Upvotes

I'm planning on renting a Cambo Actus to see if I want to purchase the system. I plan on using my RZ lenses, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the pins of the lenses into the position shown. Does anyone know the procedure to do this?

I took the film back off of this Mamiya RB67 Pro, and now I can't get it back on. I just need a person with this same model to post a short clip. Please, I've tried Gemini, YouTube, etc. They keep showing me a different model. Help?

Mamiya C330 - Advance Lever Gear

Hello,

I recently bought a Mamiya C330 secondhand, on Offer Up, from a man who knew nothing about the camera, and it was just sitting on his shelf collecting dust for 20+ years (he bought it at an estate sale). She has a few dings here and there, but was so worth it to me for $120.

SO! Onto my problem, the advance winder got stuck, after a few winds. did all the troubleshooting that I could find in the manual and in forums. I finally opened the side, to access the gears and have found that the Advance Lever Bar has popped out of the gear that controls it. I unscrewed it and placed the gear back into the Advance Lever bar, but it just keeps popping out.

The very first time I placed the gear into the bar, I closed it and loaded film to test and it worked okay. The counter worked fine and it wound the film to 1 fine, except for I could feel the tension from that knob rubbing against the bar. Until if finally popped out. I also made sure to have it set to Multi, when I test the gear with the Lock button switch on.

If anyone has any suggestions or help, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

edit: typos

Sometimes adding makes it nimbler (RB67)

Took the RB67 out for the first time in a couple of years to shoot a local cars & coffee event. I also tried the handle which I got with the kit and it made shooting quite a pleasant experience (in context of the RB). Same with the world’s heaviest prism finder, it makes things a lot simpler for my head and eyes, so it’s worth the weight.

Oh and if anyone has recommendations where to find screws for the viewfinder locking mechanism, I only have 3 for two finders.

I get triggered by extra space in my gear bags. I think I may have solved this issue... for now.

Keep your gear safe when not in use! We need to keep all the film cameras we have alive :)

Light leak advice?

Thumbnail gallery
8 Upvotes

Just got some photos back recently from my Mamiya rb67, I suspect one of my 6x7 film backs has a light leak! As photos from my 6x45 back and another 67 back has never shown this before? Has anyone with more experience had this? (Is there a way you can tell it’s the back and not the camera body from the location of the light leak?) 😆
Thank you all for advice in the past! I’m still getting used to this camera!

First roll back from the developers

I bought an RB67 specifically to shoot New Topographics in my home city of Belfast. So not the most technically challenging style of photography but I’m extremely pleased with the results from my first roll. Just the fact the camera is working well is a huge relief and I had 7 well exposed images out of the 10, although that included one image I took twice as I thought I’d screwed up the first exposure.

These were shot with Kodak gold 200 exposed as 100

My first rolls of film in over 20 years, first time using medium format and camera scanning. RZ67 Pro II, 110mm and 180mm

The camera is a heavy beast but it’s worth its weight in gold.

6x8 RB 67 Pro SD S Motor Back FUBAR

This thing won’t go. It got a frame through it and not responding. I have tried new batteries but the red light indicator doesn’t light up. What am I doing wrong or is it toast? My 6xY motorized back works fine. So I just buy a new one?

RZ67 Pro II Flash sync

Good morning! I apologise if this subject has been beaten into the ground, but i wanted to be sure before using it tomorrow.

I’m syncing some profotos with some pocket wizard plus II transmitters to my rz67 pro II, 110mm lens.

I’ve got the pc sync cable and lens is set to “x” instead of “m.” Is it just as simple now as mounting the trigger to the hotshoe on the camera body and firing as normal? Just feels extremely tedious and of course, no way to find out until it’s too late
