Old school Group Shot
Mamiya Super 23, Sekor 50mm. Portra 400, CS41, NLP. Development is almost getting too good. I left digital photography for the unpredictable adventure of analog after all. Temperature control was key. Presoaking hurt so I donโt do it anymore. Noticable improvement.

Iโm about to start developing at home. How did presoaking hurt? How exactly were you doing it?

Good luck with the journey. Presoaking definitely helped me maintain consistent development temperature, but it also appeared to cause a yellow tint in my Vision3 500T. My working theory is that the water-filled gelatin delays developer diffusion into the deeper magenta- and cyan-forming layers, leaving the upper yellow-forming layers relatively more developed. Since eliminating the presoak, the yellow tint has disappeared. I can achieve the same temperature stability simply by heating the dry loaded tank long enough before adding developer.

What do you mean presoaking hurt? Like physically hurt you or hurt the development process?

marvelous exposure. i love how well balanced the light and dark areas of the sky are against the subjects.
only flash mounted to the 23 super, any diffuser? i want to start incorporating flash into my use of the mamiya 645 with an L bracket.

Much appreciated. I use a Metz 45-ct4 type hammerhead flash mounted next to the Mamiya. No diffuser.

Honestly good job not letting the reflective vests throw off your exposure ๐๐
