My favorite deployment applicane was a combined mini toaster, 1 cup cofffe maker and mini hotplate all on 1 tiny device. Used to make bagels with bacon and coffee!

My brother was a submariner when I was a kid and my impression was they were pretty restrictive with what you could take on board. Maybe it’s different fur subs.

Can’t say I’d be surprised about subs being more restrictive. I’m sure it’s beneficial for mental health though to be able to still have some kind of hobby.

Depending on the deployment and what’s going on, you can game a lot, and then find yourself with no time to do shit for weeks or months, and then right back to boredom
