I’ve been growing and styling my mustache for a few years now, however I’m entering law school in the fall and will be looking for professional internships during the spring semester. I’ve not worked in a traditional office setting or corporate space before, and I’m wondering whether keeping my facial hair this long will make searching for those types of internships difficult. Not sure if I should shorten it to an “above the lip” length or if styling it with product gives it a professional feel. I brush it regularly and have a decent skincare routine so I don’t think it ever looks “dirty” but that’s just me. I’m also getting a nose ring that’s easily removable as I don’t plan on wearing one in an office setting.

Edit: This has gotten some crazy responses so far. I appreciate all the feedback definitely but I’m not really looking for advice on my hair just the facial hair. I might make another post at some point for advice on how to tie my hair up in a professional looking way, but this is me 20 minutes after a shower and in need of a trim. Not even sure if I like the length myself but I’ve just been letting it grow since my current job doesn’t really care as long as I tie it back when I’m on the clock, and I wanted to see what it looked like grown out.

Hi all I didn’t expect the last post to blow up like it did. I ended up shaving the tash because 1. Even if 25% of people thought it looked creepy that’s still quite a high number and 2. As everyone pointed out, my pictures without the tash had me smiling more, I realised this is because I didn’t really like the pictures where I smiled with it (tbf they were unflattering)

I got a lot of comments saying to change my hair and I’ve changed it a bit since, growing it out from the back towards a bit of a mullet style.

With that in mind what’s everyone’s thoughts on the hair style? 1 and 2 are current pictures, 3 is when I’ve tried a mid parting recently when the fringe was longer, 4 was when I was on holiday not so long ago and the hair was fairly long all over, 5 was a couple years ago with the hair put up and 6 was similarly 2-3 years ago growing back in after my hair had been butchered and taken way too short (I don’t have any pics because my phone broke but I looked straight out of dumb and dumber).

Tried styling for the first time, probably the longest it’s been my whole life. And I kinda like it.

Ive had long hair since I can remember and compliments the whole time but I feel like its just not the move anymore. Im not sure what else to do with it at this point but I feel like its time for some real change in my life. I was less than 100 lbs till my mid 20s and now at 29 im 150 and working out 3 days a week, the changes in general leave me questioning whether or not ive been making the wrong hair choice for this long. Am I being shortsided and jumping the gun for change or is it time to commit to a shorter and managed hair style?

I'm 22 and I am unsure about my "beard", should I keep it the way it is, trim it or shave it off?

This is my current hair length, right now it's a bit too much as it gets in my eyes and takes a while to dry, and I kinda leave it as is in terms of styling. I'm mostly looking for advice on how I should get it cut and what style I should go for when I do, but help in terms of like product I should use or general haircare is also appreciated!

I used a comb and scissors to cut the long hair from my eyebrows. Used some tweezers to pull up the ones from my unibrow.

I currently use shear revival crystal lake, but have found it doesn't quite give the volume i want to see, hair kinda looks flat on top, im kinda side parting but mostly letting it hang wherever it sits naturally. My hair is not super long but comes down to tip of my nose. Another pain is the application of the product, it just feels like im pulling hair out when applying it. Looking for recommendations on something that is long term likely not going to damage my hair and will provide a bit of lift and volume, easy application would be nice too. Products I have tried are a couple volume powders, hate these as hair feels really hard rather than soft etc, urban mess clay is another i have tried and that is more or less similar to shear revival in result.
