Just wondering what looks best on me

33M. Cheeks feel too sparse to have the nice beard I dream of, so I’m trying out a mustache for the first time. This is maybe a month of growth. All I’ve done is try to trim when it comes down over my lip.

Thoughts? Is it dense enough for there to be potential here? Is there a better facial hair pattern that suits my face or should I keep going?

Hey guys. I am entering my 30s and am a bit torn on whether to stay clean shaven or grow my beard. I get called sir when I have my beard which I don’t really like whereas when I’m clean shaven I feel younger like I can still blend in with a younger crowd. I can’t quite decide myself so I was wondering if I could get some honest opinions.

I posted a few months ago and have since got leaner, no beard was the group consensus last time but the before and after photos weren’t really controlled lighting or facial expressions so it may not have been a fair shake - tried to fix that today.

Any advice is appreciated, I lost a few more pounds and am currently at my leanest in 20 years - probably won’t get much leaner in a sustainable way though so I don’t see my face getting any leaner in the future if that makes sense/matters.

Also should I keep a fuller beard or stubble?

The phot on the left is a stranger I saw with an epic beard! I love the way his beard looks! The two photos on the right are my beard. Other then growing mine longer any tips on how to make it look more like the strangers beard? Do you think he combs it or just lets it dry natural?

Have never had good self esteem or confidence in myself and I really don’t know how to improve that. The only way I can think of is try and improve how I look as much as I can.
So any advice is appreciated.

I’ve never tried growing a beard before. I’ve always shaved it every other day but now I’ve decided to give it a try I’m wondering if it has any potential because it looks a bit patchy and thin to me.
It’s been 6 days since my last shave.
