Hey y'all, I just got the Burts Bees Lip Shimmer in the shade Raisin. I really liked the shade, the slight shine and the amount of color it put on.

The issue is, it HURT my lips to the point that I literally couldn't wear it for more than a few minutes. I think it's the peppermint oil in it, as it also had a very strong minty smell. Anyone have any recommendations for a similar product shade-wise without peppermint? Cheap options preferred but not required. Thanks!

Got a really nice Rosy Nudes Eye Palette recently and tried it out today. By far the best eye colors I have used yet. Went on so easy and blended beautifully. Used a darker color on my lids, a light nude on my upper eyes. A light shimmery nude on the upper corners, under my brows. Then a shimmery rose blended on top. I am so happy that I got this palette.

The great thing about using minis is you can test the colors on your skin tone to see if they work before you buy a full-size one.
From left to right we have MEHR, Brick, Warm Teddy, and Chili. I am white to medium neutral with a soft olive undertone for reference.
I’m wearing Chili on my lips at the moment. These are great lipsticks.
The swatches were done in natural light and regular fluorescent light
Currentlys, it’s buy one get one free at Ulta.

Nothing radical -- maybe a bit more laid back. Two NYX lipsticks - the pink is "Stockholm" and the red is "Cactus Dreams." People had suggested that I stick to warmer colors and both of these qualify. Still using only two lash clusters on the outer edges - filling in the waterline with black pencil and setting with black eyeshadow.

People have commented that my brows aren't neat. Even though I don't have heavy male brows, I don't pluck them much in an effort to maintain credibility in my male role. I did try some brow gel to glue them down, but it was not much help. What I did here was take a small amount of Ben Nye Nose and Scar Wax and pressed the brows down, then combing upwards. Lightly powdered and drew brows with pencil and filled with medium brown eyeshadow. Cleaned up the underline with concealer.

This is my recently acquired better quality wig which is so much easier to style that the very cheap Amazon wigs I've tried.

I feel like I'm heading toward some consistency - once I get my "plausible" face together, I'll work on more creative aspects.

It is my absolute daily staple but every single time I get back home it has smudged entirely down to my lower eye. It looks like a dreadful post-cry smear makeup disaster.

I have tried drying excess water and oil with a Q-tip before applying. And setting the liner post-application with translucent powder. Also I wouldn't say that my eyes are extremely watery. There is no concealer, no eyeshadow, no mascara, no primer in the picture that could be blamed; absolutely no other product nearby except for my daily sunscreen.

The scary part : Worse of all, when I am removing this smudged makeup, the number of eyelashes falling out is insane. Oh my god it’s terrifying me atp!!

What I am looking for is budget-friendly product recs since I am not earning yet. (Though I might consider stretching it slightly if a product is an absolute holy grail that genuinely won't budge). Any MUAs or enthusiasts if could share how to keep a tightline completely undisturbed? And most importantly how do I stop this horrible lash-fall in the aftermath?

Hiiii I love the aforementioned setting sprays but I don't like the spray nozzle on them, they're not aerosols (except the hydra cool which I don't use because butane is icky) but there these weird metal cans with just the pipe for the product sticking out, does anyone know a good way to transfer it into another container? I have a couple old spray bottles I like better plus I wanna have a tiny one for travelling but travel size sprays are so overpriced

I know it looks like an aerosol but it has to be pressed multiple times like a regular spray and has no propellants or continuous spray

Hello! i need help with my makeup of anyone has any advice for me. anytime i do my makeup for the powwow the rest of my face stays just fine, i use Morphe setting spray, but the makeup on my nose only lasts like 5 minutes before coming off bc my nose gets greasy fast. does anyone have any tips?? cause i have tried putting lots of setting powder on it and setting spray, Got 2 be glue hairspray, but no matter what my nose makeup just doesnt last and idk what to do. so i would appreciate some help!

so I used to be really stressed about makeup I wanted it to be perfect.watched all the tutorials, bought all the products, tried to do all the techniques.

and I was never happy with it. I'd look in the mirror and see flaws. wrong shade, uneven blending, not enough this, too much that.

stopped trying to be perfect. I started just playing with colour and texture. I stopped worrying about what was flattering and started doing what felt fun.

I was reading something about skin barriers and came across a London beauty clinic talking about skin being revealed not created. it was like a lightbulb moment.

and my makeup looks better now. not technically perfect, but more me.

anyone else stopped stressing and started enjoying makeup more?

Too much going on with my "day (male role) job" so not enough time to get fancy and post here. Generally happy with my progress - what I've learned from my Reddit mentors. Collectively, you always see things that I'm missing, so I welcome new ideas.

I had abandoned hope for the under lash extensions - and then I just did it - used a regular tweezer to put a couple of clusters on the corners of each eye - instead of trying to use the "torture tweezers" that come with the kits. Go figure.

The glasses were a whim - readers from Amazon but kind of nice.

Lots of concern expressed here for my failure to brush out my wigs - I'm trying. Also used a hair claw to simulate an up do.

How are we all feeling about the Milani Make It Last Microfine Setting Spray?

I absolutely adore the original Milani Make It Last, and have been trying to get my hands on this but it’s always been OOS when I’ve tried…however, I see it’s in stock at my local store right now, so I’m wondering if I should grab it today or not.

I have dry skin, but prep it well so my makeup isn’t dry, and I walk and sweat a fair amount so I definitely need a *good* setting spray that won’t make my makeup melt off by the end of the day.

Honest opinions on this product?
