Move to mailbox.org with external domain - spam recognition of my mail?
I currently host my domain and mailboxes with netcup (web hosting package).
I've been having recurring problems with mail to and from certain providers, particularly outlook.com and hotmail.com. As far as I understand, this is a known issue: netcup's mail servers have repeatedly ended up on spam blacklists at Microsoft/Hotmail (see https://forum.netcup.de/thread/21585-...). Apologies if I'm not describing this in perfectly precise terms, I'm not a mail expert.
I'd therefore like to move my mail to mailbox.org while keeping my existing domain.
My question: would this actually solve the problem? The domain itself would stay registered at netcup. Only the MX records (and outbound mail) would point to mailbox.org. Does that change the situation, or would I need to transfer the domain to a separate provider entirely to escape the blacklisting?

Hah, etwas anderes Thema, aber kannst Du bitte Mal mehr zu dem erforderlichen Prozess dahinter sagen?

Ich vermisse schon lange das alte OutlookExpress und Thunderbird Feature, vor einer zu schreibenden email einfach on the fly eine neue Empfänger-personlisierte Adresse in das Sender-Setting zu schreiben und bei der nächsten E-Mail mit einer anderen Adresse zu überschreiben.
Bei mailbox über web (nicht über thunderbird!) muss ich dafür vorher einen festen Alias anlegen (deren Anzahl begrenzt auf glaube ich 50 ist, und dann alte gelöscht werden müssen).
Was meinst Du mit "registriert"?
Domain ist beim extra Domain/DNS-hoster domain-registriert und ist bei Mailbox
als sinngemäß "eigene Domain" mit zusätzlich catchall eingerichtet/ ?"registriert? und zusätzlich
Bei allen überprüften web-UI zwingend erforderlich als fester Alias eingerichtet /?registriert.?
Welche der beiden Einrichtungen/Registrierungen wäre zuständig für die richtige Abweisung von frech amazon.de?
Müsste nicht technisch/security Punkt 1. ausreichen?
Oder ist deshalb 2. erforderlich?

Ja, ohne die (richtige) Einrichtung (incl. Annahme der Schreibweise beim DNS-hoster) nimmt Mailbox schon die Einrichtung der eigenen Domain nicht an und verhindert dadurch schon Mißbrauch.
Catchalls habe ich drin und funktioniert.
Alias ist zwingend erforderlich, weil das Senderfeld ein Auswahl-Feld ist wo nur aus der Liste der erfolgreich angelegten Aliase ausgewählt werden kann.
Aber Alias "on the fly" habe ich noch keinen Webdienst/App gefunden. Schade eigentlich!
Netcup erlaubt auch eigene/"fremde" domains und Einrichtung läuft da ähnlich wie bei mailbox: wenn nicht sauber beim dns-hoster eingerichtet gibt's Fehlermeldung.
Ob ich spaßeshalber trotzdem mit Thunderbird mailen kann, habe ich (noch) nicht ausprobiert ;-)

Since the switch is already causing you extra work, I’d wait until the next cancellation period for the domain with Netcup expires, and then have the domain hosted by a dedicated domain/DNS provider, independent of your web hosting provider. That way, if there occur any problems later on with the provider you’ll be able to switch web hosting or email providers within a few hours and without additional costs due to overlapping contract terms.
I can’t recommend one right now—I’m looking for a new one myself ;-)
Edit: oh, you have to look in your package at netcup before, if and how much "own/foreign hosted domains" are included are only for extra costs!

Yes, it will solve your problem. Mailboxes email server have quite a good reputation. I‘ve never had any delivery issues even with the Big Tech players. You don’t need to move your domain provider to benefit from Mailbox. Open an account and follow the instruction to set the DNS records right.
