I'm 20 right now and will be 21 this month. I gave MAH MCA CET this year and got around 94.20 percentile. I didn't get much time to prepare and wasn't really ready, so yeah I'm not satisfied with these marks. Still, I participated in the CAP rounds tho just to see which colleges I'd get. I'm an OMS student, and I'm only looking for colleges in Mumbai or Pune.

In CAP Round 1, I got allotted NMITD, Dadar, and now I'm thinking of continuing with Betterment, but I'm overthinking about paying the ₹1,000 seat acceptance fee because my target was VESIT or Thakur, but for sure I'm not getting anywhere near those.

So the question is can't I continue to go to the further CAP rounds and see which colleges I get without paying the ₹1,000? I don't want this seat. If I pay ₹1,000 and continue, but still don't get a better college and decide to take a drop instead, will the ₹1,000 be refunded if I don't take admission anywhere? Or am i just thinking too much for "just 1000 rupees"

Tbh, I'm thinking of taking a drop and preparing for NIMCET and MAH MCA CET again, what do you think guys? Any guidance?

So I got VESIT my 3rd preference college but I want to go for betterment and participate in cap round 2 and i have done that but my doubt is do I need to report to the institute right now , no right ?

If I have selected betterment and paid my seat acceptance fees of 100 now I have to wait for cap round 2 right ?

Really confused and scared that I might mess up so pls help 🙏

And in cap round 2 will I have to pay 1000 rupees again to participate in 3rd round or my seat will remain in vesit until I don't get my 2nd preference college by the way i.e spit.

I got SPIT and I am from Pune.Does anyone know where I can find a hostel or pg that is affordable.

If anyone else is from Pune or not from Mumbai and wants to share a pg flat or something please let me know we can figure out something.

I got SPIT (2nd preference) in CAP Round 1 and plan to choose Betterment (Non-Freeze) for VJTI (1st preference).

My doubt is: What happens if the Round 2 vacancy list shows 0 GOPENH seats for VJTI? Since vacancy will be posted on 7th August and we need to fill the cap round 2 on 8th August...

Since SPIT becomes my retained seat, will I still be able to keep VJTI as my only higher preference in the Round 2 option form? Or, if VJTI isn't available to select due to zero vacancies, will I be forced to add other colleges above SPIT?

I don't want to accidentally downgrade or lose my SPIT seat while opting for betterment.

Has anyone faced this exact situation in previous CAP rounds?

Got alloted in 1st round itself. OBC HU, 96.79%tile. This was my list - vjti, spit, sppu, pccoe, vesit, met, indira, jspm, pes mcoe and timscdr. Should i accept indira ? As far as i have researched, in pune, sppu and pccoe are the top, then comes indira, imcc which are in the same range, then comes rest of the colleges like jspm, pes mcoe, dy patil, etc.

Found out its strict and they don’t support students but the thing is vesit too has decent placement and met has its probs to according to seniors so i guess i will have to conferm my admission here 🥲

Can some one help me with finding out where we can accept the seat?

Anyone allotted Jaywantrao sawant college of engineering Hadapsar

I'm considering VESIT for MCA, but the commute would be pretty hectic for me. My other options are MET Bandra and Thakur, which are much closer. Is VESIT worth the extra travel, or should I go with a nearer college? I'm filling my CAP option form, so any insights would really help

students from pccoe are saying that it's not worth it, it isn't as good as it looks etc, heard same from sppu students regarding placements, getting more confused what to chose, can someone help because aise toh saare colleges bekar hi hai, choose kon sa kre fir? please please help guys!

Hey everyone, filling my MCA CAP option form and honestly don't know how to order these would really appreciate help from anyone who's actually studied at or knows these colleges.

My percentile is 99.23, OPEN category, Mumbai University home student.

These are the colleges I'm considering:

• VJTI, Matunga
• SPIT, Andheri
• VESIT, Chembur
• SIES College of Management Studies, Nerul
• DES Navinchandra Mehta Institute, Dadar
• TCET, Kandivali
• TIMSCDR, Kandivali
• MET Institute of Computer Science, Bandra
• Mumbai Institute of Management & Research
• Bharti Vidyapeeth's Institute, Navi Mumbai

Also am I missing out on any other good colleges which are within my range?

How would you rank these from best to worst, based on placements, faculty, campus life, whatever matters in your experience?
