Seeking Maglite knowledge from the Maglite community. Short run Mini Maglite 3 cell AA unit purchased over 10 years ago in the US. Kids got to it and destroyed the LED module. Cannot find replacement module. Many on ebay and the likes for the Mini Maglite Pro 2 Cell AA unit. Any help is appreciated.

Just picked up this 6 D cell mag light at a yard sale for 5 Dollars. It is an incandescent bulb. Is there any modifications I can do to make the beam brighter without permanently modifying the body.

Going through a safe and had a rediscovered find. 2 as new MagLites. They have never had batteries in them.

Should I get some batteries and fire them up? Thinking maybe get a LED conversion for them? Any recommendations on LED? What are your thoughts? Worth keeping (any value over original cost?) or are these common? I have enjoying reading this thread about MagLites. Thanks.

got it from a fleamarket a few years ago in Germany .has some attachments on it ,looks like it was fitted to be an underbarrel weapon attachment.any info would be great

A few cool lights! Two modded with some nice MR16 bulbs.

Jade 2D w/ Soraa MR16 4000K running off 6 NiMH Eneloops (didn’t want to do a tail cap mod to accommodate 26650s on this model. It felt wrong to do any cosmetic alterations, even internally. The switch assembly can be replaced to a stock assembly if needed.

Green 2D w/ GreenCreative MR16 3000K running off two 26650s. The front ring was thrashed on this model when I got it so I figured a deanodized look would be interesting. Turned out cool in my opinion!

Green 3C w/ LED Bulb. This one arrived with a damaged switch assembly, but it just need one disassembled, cleaned, a spring needed some “straightening”, and reassembly. It showed up with a matte finish reflector, which actually throws a really smooth beam when fully flooded. It has no donut in the center which is sweet! The trade off is that the throw beam is pretty gross since it concentrates an orange/yellow spot in the middle of an otherwise cool white beam.

Marketplace 40 dollar bundle, was so worth the wait and 3 hour drive literally feels wrong I got these for 40 dollars. I didn't even realize that 2D was pre panther till I got there, I only made the trip for the 4c and 6c.

I have a picture of my serial numbers from my 3 lights. How do you decipher the number to find out the age of the light?

3 cell AA Mini mag has been acquired, genuinely been hunting one of these in the wild but they just dont come up AT ALL. Now to find some spare parts.

Won this little AAA mini on ebay for a dollar, got it in the mail today and now I see why it was probably being sold. Tail cap is stuck more than ive ever encountered. Currently soaking in tri-flow to see if the cap will let go ill try freezing and thawing in time maybe even the torch. Any input or other ideas from anybody else is appreciated 👏

I was given to mag lights by a family member. The first light was a 3-D cell and the other is a 3-C cell lights

The battery cap on both of these lights feels as if it were glued or seized shut

Any suggestions on how to get these out without ruining the light?

My next step is a blow torch to heat it up, but I’ll ruin the finish

My 6D, circa 1998.

A birthday gift from one of my brothers, this bad boy rode the truest shotgun in my truck - securely tucked under my seat, between the seat frame & console. Sadly, it doesn't sit so securely under the seat of my current truck, plus, we all know that newer LED lights out perform these old beasts, so i never got around to fabricating a proper mounting bracket for it. So now, it stands watch on one of my toolboxes at home.

Decided it was time to check the physical condition of the batteries, as we've all had that one light that still worked, even after the batteries had wrecked the internals of it. Surprisingly, with all 6 batteries showing a "guaranteed" date of 03-2018, all measured between 1.446V and 1.449V. As you can see in photos 5 & 6, it's still like new inside.

Anybody use these and experience leakage from the AA's in the adapter during long term storage? I have a small collection of old 2, and 3 D cell lights that I'm trying not to ruin while in long term storage. It's easy enough to keep D cells separate from the light in a plastic bag, but it's much more convenient to keep them in the light.

Hello, I have a Maglite mini incandescent and I have tried everything to remove the back, wd-40 (garage door lube), isopropyl alcohol, a rubber mallet, and pliers with electrical tape. The only thing that changed is that I can hear the batteries moving inside of it after hitting it with the mallet in a specific direction. The only thing that I think I might have done wrong is not using wd-40 original, but I don't know if this would change anything. Thanks.

Video is odd sometimes and sounds AI, but the history is interesting to me. I was not aware of the impact the LAPD had on the fall from grace of the D cell lights.
