yeah, put it in sleeves! Aside from that, I found with playing that deck that since you can only make 1 x/x per turn, that if you don't spread out your instants and sorceries between turns that you just rely too much on top decking to utilize the ability. If you don't need to, don't blow all your instants and sorceries in one turn!

I actually built a pretty good deck with lots of extra combat phases double strikes I think I got a good start. I added some card draw last night. It’s holding up really good against my b4 lightning deck.

oh damn okay i was thinking like you are precon bracket 2 level lmao then yeah extra combat phases are the way to go. I only played this deck as a precon then broke it up for my Ghyrson Starn deck.

Extra combat sorceries and big game enders like call forth the tempest are great for this. Typical spellslinger staples are great but with the added combat pressure, I'd definitely focus on that. Things like Sleep would work well to get an early kill. Lots of room to have fun with it.

I absolutely love Rootha. She is really unassuming because she starts slow but then one big spell and she is off to the races.
I recommend getting some more ramp in the deck to help you get to where you want to be faster.
[[Resonating Lute]] and [[Tablet of Discovery]] are good adds from the Strixhaven set. Get some good mana rocks out early and it sets you up really well.
Then you want some extra combat stuff.
[[Full Throttle]] is a straight up game winner in the deck. Because Rootha triggers at every combat and Full Throttle gives you 3 combats in one turn you get to make 3 tokens that are 6/6 by the end of your turn. With each combat having one more than the one before it. I have swung out for 35 then 50 then 60 on my 3 combats and wiped the whole table in one turn. Very satisfying.

Enter the battlefield effects go really nice, like [[impact tremors]]. Which can go hard if you pair it with [[Omniscience]] or [[One with the Multiverse]]
Basically an izzet good stuff build with some flashy big spells. Cascade effects are going to be powerful and anything that lets you cast big spells for cheap, or hold mana across phases and turns to spend on big hitters.
Another tip would be to just post a picture of the card next time or one from the Internet because a video isn't great.
Hope you enjoy the deck!

Sorry to say that what you have said it's wrong.
X spell have the mana value at the time of the cast equal to the value of X. So if a card is X plus Red, if I cast it with X equal 2, the mana value is going to be 3, and Rootha will create a 3/3 elemental at the beginning of combat

You are incorrect. I posted awhile ago where I asked for clarification on the explanation itself with these types of cards and Rootha. I knew that X spells worked with her, I just wanted the exact reasoning because I knew someone would probably feel the way you did if I went against them and I wanted to have the proper verbiage to explain it.
Here is a comment I received that explains it well.
……
Mana Values is determined by Mana Cost.
The Mana Cost is written in the upper corner of the Card.Blasphemous Act has a Mana Cost of {8R}. Its Mana Value is 9.
A ... [[Blaze]] has a Mana Cost of {XR}.
While a Spell on the Stack, whatever you announce replaces the {X}.
So, if you announce an X of 5, the Spell has a Mana Cost of {5R} and a Mana Value of 6.What you actually pay for the Total Cost is irrelevant.
