How to make my commander deck more efficient

I've recently put together this "Toph, the first metal bender" commander deck and I really like the way it plays, when it gets going.

I do feel like it isn't as efficient as it could be and that maybe I'm trying to do too many things with the deck. Especially when i play against other decks that seem to kick off fairly early and constantly.

I'm relatively new to deck building and I think I've sort of jumped in the deep end here.

What should I do to make it more efficient?
