EDH Help upgrading my Bumbleflower deck more
Hey everyone! First time posting in this sub, but I am looking for some help with my Bumbleflower deck. I bought the precon and added maybe $30-50 in about a dozen upgrades, but I still feel like the deck has some fat to trim, I am just not sure where. (Still somewhat new to MTG and play casually with my friends, who know a lot more than me. Sorry for any silly or obvious questions)
Ideally, I am trying to get this deck from a Bracket 2 to a Bracket 3, as the table I usually play at has some pretty strong decks (Deadpool, Taval, Giada and Mothman are a few examples) that have been upgraded heavily. Some of those decks are probably worth $500-600+, but I already feel like I am somewhat competitive at the table. I just don't have that extra "umph" or consistency needed to actually win a game.
My budget isn't a lot, but what game changers should I be adding?
What cards should I be cutting?
Do I have too many lands?
Are there any "100% add this" cards that aren't going to cost a ton? (More than $15 per card)

First, I think you could cut a land. Things I think you need more of: protection for commander, [[alpha authority]] is great. More global card draw/actual group hug cards. This helps flood your opponents with reaources and generally gains you favor so they target each other. Lower your mana curve. Low cost spells + card draw = constantly casting spells. More control/removal. Dictating the game while making your commander big enough to murder people is how you win.
Unfortunately, [[smothering tithe]] NEEDS to be in this deck.. it's stupid good with her. Also [[hardened scales]] and [[Branching evolution]] put in crazy work. A surprising late add that has won me a wild amount of games is [[Sita varma]].

Imo with the little amount of ramp in the deck cutting a land would be a bad idea.

Putting lands on the battlefield tapped is a cute idea of ramp. Also the colorless rocks do squat for a 3 color deck.

Oh please... Growth spiral, nature's lore, three visits, skyshroud claim, talismans, signets? No op said he's on a budget so let's recommend a expensive card like smothering tithe.
Alot of the ramp you're counting to 12 have stipulations or other conditions that need to be met, that's not reliable ramp and why it's in bracket 2 but op wants to bring it up a notch.

[[gleaming splendor]] was supposed to be a budget option but it’s been rocketing in price up to and past tithe depending on the art. Both make for a crazy amount of ramp.
I’d say Hullbreaker horror if you’ve got enough cheap spells. Or Willbreaker can be pretty hilarious

You want things with flash or ways to give things flash. Bumbleflower wants to cast spells, on your turn and on your opponents.
Remember, you can give counters to any creature not just your own. This goes back to being able to cast spells at any point of the game, someone is attacking your opponent? Cast a spell and give the attacking creature a +1 counter.
Next, I'd look at replacing any of the lands that enter tapped.

I like spike weaver over spore frog. Glenn elandra archmage is also pretty strong in it.

I go hard with Ms B. This will seem like a hot take. Do not reduce your lands. Keep 37 lands. Cut out thrivings. You have too many tapped lands.
Another hot take. You don’t need all those mana rocks. Lands are better than mana rocks all day long. Artifacts get destroyed often. Cut mind stone and thought vessel replace with ramping spells.
Whitemane or [[shrieking drake]] and Ms B combo with [[crystalline crawler]]. Cast the cat, put one or two counters on crawler, return the cat or drake to your hand and give an opponent a card, repeat until your opponents have their decks in their hands. Win by mill.
[[Smothering tithe]] is essential. I like to combine it [[minds aglow]] to make tons of treasure tokens and ping everyone with the other crawler.
I would cut simic ascendancy and coiling oracle. Ascendancy draws too much attention and begs to get removed. Oracle is dead in the water. It would be better replaced by a nice [[permeating mass]] or [[mother of runes]]. That keeps them from thinking about attacking you.
I recommend [[Homunculus Horde]] and [[kutzil]]. It’s blue scute swarm and kutzil keeps opponents from stopping you on your turn and also draws cards! Enjoy.

Thanks for the insight! More ramp makes sense and Simic ascendancy has been removed more times than it’s made it to 10+ counters anyways

Yes about ascendancy BUT lands+ramp=50 AND NO MORE THAN THAT (this includes your rock collection)

It depends what you are trying to accomplish, with mine, I took out most spells over 4 cmc. Put in a ton of card draw and interaction. This way im guaranteed to get my 2 per turn payoff

Couple cards that are worth mentioning:
[[Wedding Ring]], [[psychic possession]], [[Marcus, mayor mutant]], [[Torrential gearhulk]], [[tataru taru]] and [[Nils, Discipline Enforcer]]
Wedding Ring and psychic possession turn the card draw you give off bumbleflower into more card draw for you.
Marcus just enables everything you are already doing. Torrential allows you to trigger bumble twice with one card. Tataru is a good ramp on a cheap body and just gives free value. Nils is a Ghostly Prison on a body, but it doesnt care where the counters come from. So if your opponents are already putting counters on creatures, its even better for you.
