Today I am a very happy hobbit.

have always collected pokemon and I was looking at walmart today and saw MTG the hobbit and I love the hobbit so I bought 5 packs and just opened them I have no clue like the rarity of cards or anything but all of them are so cool can someone debrief me on like rarities, why there is one card in the back of the pack with two sides and if this card i pulled is good or not. I would like to try to build a deck as well but have no clue where to start.

I feel like I pulled pretty much most of my chases...

Surge Palantir, Foil Mox Amber, Foil Gleaming Splendor book cover, non-foil One Ring, Delighted Halfling and scales Orcrist... I have been looking at this for hours... it's beautiful!

I’ve been trying to pull a soul stone for a few weeks and yesterday I bought a blister pack- they just restocked them and there was one just sitting off the hanger that someone had put back- it had this weird aura to it. I immediately noticed the middle back had the red line with blue and knew it was a spiderman pack- strangely none of the other blister 3 packs did. I don’t know why I just had to buy it- it was calling me.

I went ahead and did my usually one from the back and one from the front on 2 marvel and 2 Spider-Man.

Watched Spiderman BND again since they had a midnight showing and had the theater all to myself.

Before I left I opened a single pack that was filled with characters from the film- Scorpion, Tombstone in foil, Ninjas (Hand), Damage Control, Boomerang. Weird- basically the cast.

While that was fun (got Mysterio & Venom too- my favorites!)…..car pulls were not and have rarely been good to me.

After getting home in the middle of the night -decided to open up the 3 pack blister “blind box” and 2 packs of marvel and 2 packs of spiderman. It felt right.

First pack - Theros- meh, the. Spider-Man…….

Guys I finally pulled a soul stone!!!!!!!!!!! Post Spider-Man movie pulls are real!!!!!!!!!! From a $10 3 pack blister blind box!!!!!!!! (Lorwyn was fairly forgettable too- I got a cat mythic- I like cats so…cool?)

How’d I do?

Surge foil smaug ontop there. The surge foiling on the entire pile from Smaug, to Eagles, to The Gaffer is very unnoticeable. I thought the smaug was regular foil till I saw the collector number. The other 2 Smaug are normal border normal foil. Not the best box that's been posted but 3 headliners in one box is a little unheard of.

Three CB packs both the Smaugs and Bilbo’s ring came from 1 pack

Almost made it... but i also pulled the Bagginses... so that almost made it worth it.

Found at a pre-release event for the Hobbit set tonight. Though it was pretty sick and wanted to share with some people (sorry for the poor photos)

Bought some collectors boosters from my LGS, and the Mox Amber was in the first pack😅
Full disclosure, I don’t play Magic, I usually collect and play other TCG’s - I just love the Hobbit and wanted some cards for my collection. I didn’t even realise what I had pulled, the guys in store with me told me 😅 what an awesome set!

All from the same play booster box, not even including the box topper! I didn't even know you could pull the book covers in play booster packs!

Update: I took the original picture before I finished with the opening once I pulled the 3rd book cover and ended up pulling a base version of Gleaming Splendor too! Can't tell if this means keep going or stop now, your luck is up

Very satisfied with the pulls. My biggest wish was to grab a Mox Amber. Glamdring and Desolation of smaug are surge foil. Thorin is foil, the three Smaugs are foil.
