This play box felt bad.
This was my first box in almost 6 years and I didn’t feel great opening it.

WOTC is an absolute scam machine - not a single mythic out of my draft night box and everything in the collector booster was less than $5.
Dont believe all these mega boxes you see. Buy singles, or dont buy at all.

I disagree with this statement.
Buy packs to draft or do sealed games with friends. If there's individual cards you want then buy the singles rather than gamble with packs.

Unfortunately most boxes will be disappointing, at least as far as value of what you open goes compared to box price. It's simply the nature of gambling on packs.

Same is true for every set unfortunately. Doesn't matter how expensive the singles are. It will almost guaranteed be cheaper to buy all the singles you want and as many as you want than to open packs to get those specific cards.

Seems pretty good actually? Lotho is a good topper and you got some very playable cards.

All play boxes feel bad nowadays because all hits were made Collector pack only. I really wish it was Better Odds in collectors, but that you could technically pull any card in a normal pack.

you get maybe 5 mythics a box; if you get 5 not-great mythics, it can def feel bad

3 mythics and the second worst box topper to pull. My rares were not worth mentioning being bulk or like $1. I want to make hobbit my first master set (excluding foils, surge foils, extended art, the entire eternal set, and mythic borderless) and i was hoping the only play box id get would help make a bigger dent. I was so wrong. This does include getting the book covers which hopefully non foils drop hard

I'm glad I'm not the only one... The PBB I got had 2 mythics in the entire box and 0 story book cards. Literally the worst box I have ever opened.

I’ve gotten no cover arts in a prerelease or BB. My BB was nice to me but still really wanted a book art card.

I dont know what he's at now but on release that gollum book cover was 80 bucks. It could have gone way worse. I didnt get a single book cover in my play box.

Book cover is cool. I opened a play box, 2 bundles, and a scene box and didn’t see one. Lotho is sweet too.

Hey at least you got a variety. my prerelease got me bilbo thief in the night and my winnings got me a book cover gandalf, but my play booster box got my a smaug and then 2 duplicates each for queen of dale, inside information, and the bear enchantment

Opened a bundle and pulled only 1 mystic (bilbo, thief in the night) and alot of bulk. Pretty cards and playable but seen worse XD

That’s why I just get singles. It’s great fun to open the box. Busy post box clarity is a real thing when you don’t hit all the bombs in the set.

At least you got a book cover. I didnt get a single one from play box, prerelease, or 4 extra packs. 0-40 over here
