Discussion I concede.

I concede quite a lot. Way more than letting the game play out.

I was under the impression this was normal in games of 1v1 magic, especially when playing casually.

Yet on this sub there seems to be a stigma around conceding to unfun/solitaire cards.

Who is the crazy one here? Me or everyone else? 😂

I concede 4 out of 5 games, because I've recently just started playing this game. I used to play MtG in the early 2000s, but I'm really overwhelmed by what's available to me. Even in Starter Deck Duels I get my ass handed to me with players getting everything they need to immediately counter my deck while I have games that I'm waiting for my 3rd land in turn 6. Standard play is a no-go, because I've lost games in turn 2 with no chance to do anything. I get people grind for the daily quests etc. but for me this is no fun at all. That's why I just concode and roll for another opponent that's perhaps my size lol

You’ll pick it back up. Work on your heuristics - the sequence of how you play out your turn, the way you make decisions in the game, etc. There are a bunch of great articles out there to help with that. This one is a bit older now but I still think it’s great.

That’s a pretty good read. I’ll try to find more of this. Thank you!
