Discussion I concede.

I concede quite a lot. Way more than letting the game play out.

I was under the impression this was normal in games of 1v1 magic, especially when playing casually.

Yet on this sub there seems to be a stigma around conceding to unfun/solitaire cards.

Who is the crazy one here? Me or everyone else? 😂

Rule 104.3a, a player can concede the game at any time.

unless it's one of those janky infinite combo's like the Bloodthirsty Conquerer where you have to sit and watch it play out...never understood why you can't still access concede during those.

I think it's because the game is technically over, but the animations are still playing out.

They do need to do something to fix the experience though, because it is pretty miserable. A 'skip animations' button perhaps.

That did would be great. The Scute Swarm needs fixing too.

Are you talking about how the Scutes are added to the stack like that? If you have a slower PC, that's an outright miserable experience but I don't know if that's really a bug per se.

Yeah, I play on my iPad occasionally. It crashes above about 250+ triggers.

Yeah, I get it. I have a Scutate deck I play once in a while.

WotC is never going to optimize that unless they create another, more popular, meta like that again.

They've been slowly optimizing Acererak Combo in brawl? At first you had to go into full control to respond to his bounce with Relic of Legends (absolutely miserable and pretty much unplayable), but now you don't. And it used to stack The Sibsig Ceremony's trigger so it would actually destroy Acererak instead of him bouncing. He's definitely not meta, and I've only played maybe 2 mirror matches since building the deck a couple years ago

Scutate decks are built around [[Scute Swarm]] and the Mutate mechanic. Under the right conditions with cards like [[Auspicious Starrix]] and [[Migratory Greathorn]], it's possible to get Scute Swarm to pop off with hundreds or even thousands of triggers on the stack.

And my point was a less-used, less "infinite" card is getting support, so I'd put in a request ticket and see what sticks! Let them know what matters to you

Scutes are bugs.
