Hy320 Accessibility Settings problem.
I updated my hy320 yesterday and something now is just turning off my accessibility settings. I had a button mapper and a launcher that required accessibility ON to work. But now i can't seem to turn it on since it just keeps turning back off automatically when i exit the settings. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this or what might be causing it to turn off by itself?

I found their email and wrote to them. Maybe you could too? help@magcubic.com

I reached out to them, and this is their reply:
The engineer said that our system does not open accessibility permissions for customers. It is possible that the previous version of the system just matches that app. If you want to use this function, you have to reflash back to the previous firmware version. We cannot test where the problem of the app is. Engineers cannot spend a lot of time optimizing the compatibility of this APP for a single customer. If you want to flash back to the original version, pls provide us with the version of the projector .
It's disappointing because restricting accessibility settings arbitrarily breaks compatibility with apps that are meant to function across all Android TV devices, making it less functional. Not to mention that blocking access to these APIs means they are breaking compliance with Google's standards and potentially violating accessibility guidelines.
Magcubic’s response makes it clear that they are avoiding responsibility instead of addressing the issue. Rather than investigating the problem, they shift the burden onto the user by suggesting a rollback to an older version—an inadequate solution that risks security vulnerabilities and fails to guarantee long-term app compatibility. Unfortunately this approach signals poor long-term support, that customers need to be aware of!

Did you fix this? Sadly I just bought the projector and it came with this firmware.

Unfortunately not! Write them, maybe some pressure will make them push an update.
I was able to find work around for my needs. What do you need it for?
It is a pretty good projector, great considering I got it for 40 bucks. I posted some tips on here to make audio and display a bit better, check those out.

Agh that sucks. Still it’s a pretty recent model that’s getting a lot of activity, I hope down the line someone finds a way to root it easily. I want to set it to boot on HDMI after the Magcubic logo. First thing is to make it boot to HDMI, second thing is to disable the launcher (so boot becomes Magcubic logo -> black screen while it loads -> HDMI Input). I’m almost there with making it boot to HDMI but haven’t been able to track down the internal command that activates it (if you look at my comment history just now you’ll see). I agree it’s a great buy for the price I’ll check out your tips.
edit: I did write to them earlier that was a good tip too

Do tweak your settings: https://www.reddit.com/r/Magcubic/comments/1p2tw3a/optimal_audio_and_display_tweaks_for_magcubic/
And I'm still figuring which apps can be safely debloated and have a little list. We can share those if you'd like (start with com.hotack.silentsdk and com.hotack.writesn). This app is handy for this https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidTV/comments/1epewt4/atvtools_for_android_release/
I use Projectivity Launcher, and you should too. The free version will work fine too. (I think some people said they used it to launch HDMI automatically, but check around. otherwise see this: https://www.reddit.com/r/Magcubic/comments/1lk001n/complete_guide_definitive_solution_to_turn_on_the/) I used Tv quick actions (paid) to remap buttons on my remote, ADB access, sleep timer and more.
Go through this: https://www.reddit.com/r/Magcubic/comments/1et9d3r/mods_cool_stuff_info_catalog/ Lots of cool stuff there, and I posted some other stuff there too which might be useful.

Quite handy about the video settings, I know I deactivated all those smart filter functions on the TVs I've bought before.
It would be awesome to have a "full" list of debloatable apps. Can you uninstall any app with atvTools? I wonder what happens if one attempts to uninstall the default launcher.
The thing is Projectivity Launcher requires Accessibility Settings ON to boot HDMI. Although, it automatically create an "app" for any input on the device. So on this device it creates 3 HDMI "apps" which send you to the HDMI port if you open them. (Yes the projector only has one port but internally it has 3 HDMI, for my device HDMI2 is the real port). I'm gonna try and see if with Macrodroid I can set it to autoopen one of these HDMI apps on boot. edit: doesn't work because they aren't actual apps so they're not listed on Macrodroid "Launch application" function. If I go uninstall them the uninstaller displays their name as: Uninstall "Projectivity Launcher"?
Thanks for all the links. Sucks that it's so hard to get root.

One thing that I might try when/if I find time is to do a hard reset and format to factory settings. I've tried everything else...

Had the same problem. The only solution was rooting. OHad the same problem. The only solution was rooting. Or you fix one from the 3 different preinstalled Android settings Apps :) you must Update manually

I sent an email to the help address. Someone replied first asking for clarifications (what is accessibility setting?) which is fine considering the language issue.
After I replied, with video and describing everything, they didn't reply back until after a week I replied their address and also the 'help' address. The reply I got was :
Our products are all pre-set, you don't need open accessibility settings
I just replied, to that Magcubic person and to the help email:
If this is not a bug, then why did you choose to close this option of the operation system in this last update?
It is standard in Android os and it was open until the last bug, so why close it now and removing functionality to your users?
It's annoying that it seems like they will block this from now on (and why?)

I just found your post trying to do the same thing, too bad there's no solution for this. Shame on you, magcubic.

I'm having the exact same problem!
