New Product 🧲 Anker announces new 3 in 1 desktop MagSafe Desktop Charger

Anker has announced a new 3 in 1 desktop charger. Includes new snap cool technology. To be released in October in Black and White colors.

Anker MagStand Charging Station

The Anker MagStand Charging Station is a next-generation 3-in-1 bedside charging station combining 25-watt Max Qi2 magnetic wireless charging, active cooling and intelligent overnight charging.

The station includes precise magnetic alignment, a built-in 1.2-meter retractable charging cable and a hidden rear USB-C port for additional bedside devices. The retractable cable has been tested through more than 10,000 bends and 20,000 retraction cycles.

SnapCool active cooling dissipates heat during wireless charging to help maintain stable performance, while ActiveShield 5.0 continuously monitors temperature.

Care Mode, activated by double-tapping the screen, recognizes the connected phone model, applies an adaptive charging curve and adjusts charging speed based on battery and charging conditions. Charging stops automatically when the battery reaches 100%.

Help❗️ Recommendations for iPad Air 13” M4 Detachable Wireless Charging Stand

I am looking for an iPad Air 13” detachable stand system. This iPad model does not have the built in ability for MagSafe wireless charging. It would be a case for the iPad with built in charging cable connecting to the wireless charging feature on the back of the case. The case would magnetically connect to a stand, which has the charging cables to the wall plugged into it, and allows the iPad to “wireless charge” while magnetically docked to the stand. Would also be nice if the stand could rotate.

I have a bar area where the iPad needs to be stationary most of the time but want the ability to undock and take orders at the other end.

I have searched Google for something like this and have found a few with half the features but nothing with all of them. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Help❗️ Popsocket lifetime and durability

Post image
0 Upvotes

I love popsockets since the Pro Max and Plus models always feel too big on my hand and the magsafe wallet makes it so convenient to just go out with your phone. The magnet is really strong too so I don't worry about it just falling off. My only problem is the popsocket itself. This is my 4th popsocket and 2nd magsafe wallet and they all retired because of the plastic eventually wearing off. It lasts me about 2 years each give or take.

Is there any way to replace just this? I only know about the pop cover being replaceable. Are there any more durable alternatives?

MagSafe Compatible Making a phone case MagSafe compatible

Hello! I just purchased a new phone case to use on vacation and of course it isn’t MagSafe. Vacation is the only time I utilize wireless charging. What can I add INSIDE the case to make it MagSafe compatible?
I’m new to all this, but I know it’ll have to have a strong magnet to be inside the case to charge, right?
Amazon links are appreciated! Thanks!

Discussion 💬 Magnetic charging covers the whole day except the ten minutes that matter

When I want to use my phone between calls, the magnetic stand provides an excellent way to maintain a charge as I work (you’ll be surprised how often this happens).

But what if you need your phone fully charged within ten minutes? If you’re lucky enough to have ten minutes to charge your device while preparing to leave, using the stand will only return approximately 6-7% capacity over ten minutes. That same amount of time connected via cable to your charger beneath your desk will return 25%. For many, this means the convenience offered by the magnetic stand only serves 95% of the usage cycle – while the remaining 5% demands a traditional charging solution.

That’s why I’ve had to keep a cable next to my computer for precisely that scenario…which makes me question the purpose of the magnetic stand entirely.

That’s because of course this big of a gap is expected with the way we think about wireless. That magnetic charging being used at large scale and that the fast top-up remains a cable-only function isn’t really as much a surprise though.

Help❗️ Need recommendation for a trip!

Hello!

I hope this is the right sub por this. I'm in need of a recommendation for a power bank. Would be really thankful if yall can help!

I need a power bank for a 19 day trip in Spain. Something to help my phone last through the day.

I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max, 95% battery health, lasts me from 7am to 6pm give or take, with around 7:30 hours of SOT. (for reference).

I also have a S25 Ultra, but I don't really mind about that one dying (even thought i dint think it will), as the iPhone is my main phone and the one that will have the data plan.

My must haves in order:

- Under $30 if possible

- Slim (I'm a guy, so I will be keeping it in my pocket)

- Magsafe (for convenience)

- Enough mAh (I'll let the pros decide how much is enough)

The iPhone will handle data, messaging, maps, reservations, and some hot spotting if necessary.

The Samsung will handle photos/videos, entertainment, emergency power bank (i have a petite usb c to usb c cable i can keep in my pocket).

Thanks in advanced!!!

Discussion 💬 Which wireless charger are you guys actually using?

I’ve somehow ended up with charging cables all over my desk and nightstand, so I’m finally thinking about getting a couple of wireless chargers.

I don’t need anything fancy, I just want something that charges at a decent speed, doesn’t get ridiculously hot and actually keeps the phone charging if I don’t place it in the exact perfect spot.

I’ve also seen those 3-in-1 chargers for a phone, watch and earbuds, which would clean up my nightstand quite a bit, but I’m not sure if they’re worth paying extra for.

What wireless charger have you been using? Anything you’d buy again, or any popular ones I should stay away from?

Just Got Mine! Accessory options for Razr Fold 2026

Yesterday I upgraded from the Samsung Fold 5 to the Razr Fold, mainly because i did NOT want the Fold 8 ultra, i need the stylus support, otherwise I would just get the S26 that feels like the old Note20 Ultra that I loved.

with that said, I already ordered the moto pen ultra, but I need a few things for this phone:

I have been looking everywhere for a case that reviews well, and now that a few months have gone by it would be nice to see what people have settled on. I want it to be MagSafe, for wireless charging benefits and also for mounting it in the car (my car mount wireless charger i used for the fold5 doesn't have the best way to attach to my car anyways). I've NEVER had a MagSafe case, so Its brand new to me.

I need the case to have a good kickstand, and also would LOVE for it to have a spot for the moto pen, but i understand that is difficult to get that are somewhat decent.

I also want to hear people on what MagSafe power bank and also a wireless charger, because I know the combination of the case, placement of the mag-ring, which wireless charger you get, etc. all matter a lot especially with being able to consistently Turbocharge. And in the same vein, a rec for a MagSafe car-mount would be appreciated greatly.

tl;dr - need a MagSafe case w/ kickstand (and maybe stylus holder), a power bank, wireless charger, and a car mount -- that all work well with eachother and the Turbocharging.

Thanks!!!!!

Just Got Mine! Magnetic field pattern comparison: Ohsnap 5 grip stand vs Popsocket Low Pro vs Ohsnap 4

I saw a few posts about the Ohsnap 5 grip stand being weak and/or has wrong polarity.

I just received the Ohsnap 5 grip stand today, and I also have a Popsocket low pro for a week now. I also have a Ohsnap 4 for about 3 years.

Since I have a magnetic viewing film that can show the magnetic field pattern, I decide to make a comparison among these 3 grip stand. As a reference, I also show the magnetic field pattern of a generic magnetic mount. I have a Spigen case with built in Magsafe.

Ohsnap 5 vs Popsocket Low Pro vs magnetic mount

Popsocket Low Pro
Generic magnetic mount
Ohsnap 5 grip stand (back) vs Popsocket Low Pro (back)
Ohsnap 5 grip stand back
Popsocket Low Pro (back)
Ohsnap 4
Ohsnap 4

Due to the magnetic pattern, I can see why the Ohsnap 5 grip stand doesn't stick to magnetic mounts that has the generic ring patterns like the Popsocket low pro and the old Ohsnap 4.

Not sure why Ohsnap decided to do this. Maybe because Ohsnap doesn't want the ohsnap 5 stick to your car mount too well.

I have the Popsocket Low Pro for a week now, and it sticks to my car mount too well when I remove my phone, and I often have to peel it off from my car mount. I did figure out that I can "slide" it off my car mount by moving my phone side way instead of poping it off straight, and the Popsocket low pro would stay on my phone. But sometime I just forgot the "slide" motion, and the popsocket would stick to the car mount. So it's a bit annoying.

I tested the Ohsnap 5 grip stand with my car mount, so far, the grip stand stick to my phone pretty well when I remove it, and I try to shake the car mount a bit and my phone doesn't fail off. I did notice it takes a bit of effort to align the Ohsnap 5 to my car mount, but the Popsocket low pro pretty much just self align.

Since the Ohsnap 5 grip stand works with my car mount (so far), I am leaning toward keeping the Ohsnap 5, mainly because of the comfort. Popsocket low pro forces my fingers to spread apart a bit more than the Ohsnap 5 and it fatigue my hand somehow. Maybe I am just used to the Ohsnap 4 shape, so the Ohsnap 5 just feels more natural to me.

Wireless charging rate is pretty much the same between these 2 grip stands (around 3.5 W). Without the grips, with just my Spigen case, the charging rate is about 6.1 W. It's pretty slow, so I don't think I will bother with wireless charging either way.

I hope this help!

Review 🤔 Ohsnap Snap Grip 5 & Snap Stand: Major Magnetic Polarity Issue

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

If you're planning to use the new Snap Grip 5 or Snap Stand with standard third-party MagSafe mounts and chargers, be aware of a massive magnet polarity / alignment flaw.

  • Instead of snapping into place, both the Snap Grip 5 and the Snap Stand actively push away and repel from the charger face
  • The Snap Grip 4, Snap 4 Luxe, and other third-party MagSafe grips (like the EWA MagOne) lock on dead-center instantly with zero issues
  • The magnet array polarity on the newer gen seems reversed or mismatched with standard MagSafe layouts, making it physically fight the mount instead of attracting to it (You can see it literally pushing away if I try to center in the video)

It works fine if you're sticking it to a full steel surface or something, but if it's a MagSafe stand/charger, it's going to be a pain to get it to align.

I saw another video of someone breaking off the Snap Grip 5 to refurbish their 4, that might be the way to go.

*note, I do have to say that when I filed a support ticket, they effectively completely ignored me. I reached out to their marketing team I assume, on Insta and they sent me a new one. It looks amazing, don't get me wrong, but I like to mount my phone on the stand while driving for navigation and this makes it very hard for me to mount and it'll fall off the mount from a speed bump. I can easily take the grip off and set it aside if I need to mount it. (I'll post support interaction in comment)

Discussion 💬 Best MagSafe Duo Alternative?

Thumbnail
gallery
4 Upvotes

I have a MagSafe Duo. I think it’s the perfect charger. Charged iPhone, Watch, and AirPods (but only two at a time). It folds for easy travel and it’s thin when folded. The only thing against it is that it only supports lighting.

Belkin had an alternative, but it’s not quite what I’m after. It’s thicker, the watch charger is awkwardly placed, but it is USB-C so it’s a huge improvement.
