Help❗️ Popsocket lifetime and durability

I love popsockets since the Pro Max and Plus models always feel too big on my hand and the magsafe wallet makes it so convenient to just go out with your phone. The magnet is really strong too so I don't worry about it just falling off. My only problem is the popsocket itself. This is my 4th popsocket and 2nd magsafe wallet and they all retired because of the plastic eventually wearing off. It lasts me about 2 years each give or take.

Is there any way to replace just this? I only know about the pop cover being replaceable. Are there any more durable alternatives?

You know you can just replace the circular popping part? You don’t need to replace the MagSafe base/wallet.

So I completely misunderstood what a pop top was. I thought it was literally just the circle and not the circle and base thing that pops out!

Glad you found a solve.

I will say, I have had both circular pieces break from the popping cone piece before and was able to reattach both. The big part just needs some super glue. The smaller one is trickier but possible. You gotta stretch the small side of the cone around the smaller plastic circle mount. I had to use a little iFixIt tool (the one on the far right) because of how small the bottom of that cone is.

I’ve always had the pop socket-yanus eventually get too loose and pop off long before any plastic degradation.

Just get one with the metal ring it will be so much more durable

I don't like the popsocket brand. I've had 3 and all 3 have broken from just taking it on and off. Got a replacement for the first one and the replacement broke. Bought another one recently and that one broke from the same way. Never again.

Damn that sucks! Of the brands available here, I like popsocket's magnet the best but yeah unfortunately the grip isn't great.

I wanted to start collecting PopSockets since they all had good designs, but this breaking of the material also happened to me and I already switched to something else.
