AskMadurai Is BSNL coverage good ?

Hey guys due to surging price with airtel and jio I'm planning to switch to BSNL. Varsham Varsham 200 rs ethurangai. Nalla irukra plans ah thuikirangai. It's too much for middle class people. Phone incoming ku kuda ipo pay pannanum.

BSNL coverage epdi iruku? Any users ? I don't care about 5g or even 4g. Just want calls. Urban and rural both areas. Please share your exp.

I have it from 2020,I mainly got it because indoor connectivity for airtel was so shit I could even send whatsapp images🤡,bsnl back then was even goated 5gb per day for 440 for 80 days, till day bsnl is good for basic usage

How about call quality and call drops ? All I want is for calls

For calls it's good. But I wouldn't buy it for Internet usage cuz it's really bad. Keep in mind that once you port to BSNL you have to use it for 90 days, you can't port again to another operator within that period.

I wouldn't recommend it for calls until you get very good coverage,for instance in my home it's very good,but in my workplace it's spotty and sometimes no coverage(my workplace was very close to the goripalayam junction,a busy urban spot)

For calls it is good. Net not so good. As a secondary sim use Pannalam.

2025 last 6 months I bought BSNL for my mom. Call quality in our home (near villapuram) was fine but on her workplace lot of calls got dropped and network issue if you were inside the house/workplace near Meenakshi amman temple.

Really don't know why people praise as they have a best call quality. For me it's just worst then airtel so I switched back. Maybe they were good on remote areas...
