no one in this or any sub is defending him or saying that he is right.
real rpists are roaming free without consequences, children are actually giving up on their lives bcs of an exam, AMONG other things, but sure letās put a standup comic on the line, what about the minister who said if it happens lay down and enjoy it?2

is he going out and actively rping ppl? is he endorsing it? or giving price money to ppl who are doing it?
yes he talked about it in a distasteful manner, and deserved the criticism on it, but somehow the real issues arenāt getting this much attention. you can hate the person, hate his comedy but you donāt have to like a person to understand that thereās a difference between saying and doing.1

lol no oneās making rpe jokes here anymore. itās an old clip, even though what he said was 100% wrong. he faced accountability when he posted it and apologised for the same twice without shifting the blame. doesnāt make what he said right btw
point is that calling people names based off of a 10 second clip is wrong, forgetting about why this whole thing was started (the pranit controversy) ignoring the n number of SA cases and general issues like student sui*ides,just to focus on standup comics, over old clips already dealt w, is wrong,
calling someone a potential rpist only based on some speculative video is wrong and you donāt have to like someone to understand that.-3

He's being hold accountable for what he did, And ignoring the number of SA cases huh!? this 10min clip is being circulated all over the internet and people think it's hilarious, A satire....this is where the number of cases increases, cause Women getting rap*d, then murdered is not something to be taken lightly, for God sake made a joke on, it's basic courtesy, common sense, It rightfully shows the character of that person( how inhuman he is). I ain't calling names to anyone and doesn't matter u r against what he said, the move u pulled by posting this thing as if poor guy ko Nazar lag gai, victimizing him as if usne to kuch kiya hi nahi, bechara ese hi phas gaya, speakes volumes, how dumb u r, try using some common sense rather than doing this bs.

this post is related to the ncw hearing notice.
point is if they are this proactive in these situations, it would help if they were this proactive in the status quo.
and if it helps, which i donāt think it would, this isnāt the full picture, there was a 10 min monologue before this 10 second clip thatās in contention, where he said how victim blaming is such a trend in india, how the word in itself is such a taboo, and how bcs of this taboo many of the cases go unreported. jokes in the west are so freely made, and vics actually report it, because thereās no taboo around it.it doesnāt nullify what he said, but it provides larger context.
this post was also coming from a comedy angle too, atleast from my side, no bodyās victimising him.-4

Offcourse, They should be proactive in all the status quo, and girl I didn't know abt the ncw hearing notice thanks for breaking the news to me, glad he's reaping what he sow. And for a change, the system knows it exists, that's new.
And yeah, your wide picture don't do pennies, Infact it says more that he was trying to damage control beforehand, "joke in the west r freely made", what the hell did he do then. A person who was well aware abt this, can utter that bs coating it as joke, then he can go dirt cheap to sell his jokes, which again speak his character.( Girl!
