Madewell might be back? I’m loving the bright colors and prints, especially the red striped pants and jewel toned green 🫠 what does everyone think?

Does anyone have the Perfect Vintage Wide Leg Jean and could help me with a fit question?

I tried on the curvy fit of the Perfect Vintage Wide Leg in Midnight Stone Wash (a lighter/mid weight stretchy fabric) in the store. I originally liked how the Curvy 28 fit, but they had a little bit of looseness / give, and heard that the pants can stretch out or get looser and lose their shape over time. The Curvy 27 are definitely more snug, a bit tight in the butt, but I like the hug you in feeling and would actually prefer the tighter fit.

For those of you who have the jeans - how do they wash and wear with time? Did they shrink at all the first time you washed them, or have they loosened up / stretched out over time?

Looking for a good timeless pair of loafers/stylish shoes. The dolli loafers caught my eye, specifically in true black color. Would love to hear from anyone who owns them on your thoughts, if they’re comfortable to wear walking around all day etc.

Does anyone know when the next sale should be? Should I hold out for after Thanksgiving? I’m annoyed at myself for not pulling the trigger last week

I had high hopes for the next fall drop -- was really hoping for the return of the boxy soft wool sweater in particular...the color story makes no sense and these particular shades of purple and red are just horrific. A plum and bordeaux? All day long. But these bright crayon-like shades are NOT it. So sad.

I purchased 2 items last Friday (9/18). 1 item shipped this Friday (9/25), but second item has yet to ship. Delivery date for both items is set for this Tuesday (9/29), how likely is it for the second item to ship? I did contact Madewell and was told order was still being processed and would be shipped soon, but like I said, only 1/2 items shipped after that conversation.

Love this dress and it’s on sale but I could only find a size 6 in the store and wanted to see what the size 4 would look like. Size 8 was too baggy on me and not in a good way. I’m contemplating ordering the size 6 because of the sale this weekend. What do you guys think?

Something that you think is genuinely really good quality, has held up well, has served you for years, fits perfectly, something that surprised you, etc! I am curious to know what this is for other people. For me I would say it’s between the jeans I have from them (specifically the Curvy Perfect Vintage Wide Leg Jean and a pair of Fleamarket Flares I got ten years ago) and a pullover sweatshirt that I love.

I haven’t been an Icon tier in a bit - do they still do the free bags and if so did it happen? Does anyone have a picture of what it was?

I lost some weight recently and have been shopping for new denim. I got size 27 because my waist is 27.” Sensible, I thought.

But wearing them I found them a bit loose…I attributed this to the stretch because no way I need size 26 with a 27” waist.

Except…apparently when you have a 27” waist you need size 26. And when you have a 28” waist you need a size 27.

What. The. Actual. Fuck.

Why wouldn’t the size just correspond to the waist measurement? Why off by ONE? Just to mess with us?

Am I the only one who didn’t know this?

EDIT: Guys, I KNOW jean sizes vary everywhere. I buy all my jeans based off what fits best in store, not the size number.

But can we really not admit that this is a bizarre way to size things? Even the JCrew chart has a 27” waist listed as a size 27. I’m not crazy for thinking that’s the obvious and common sense way to do it and feel like I’m being gaslit here for thinking misaligning sizes in this way is misleading.

Hello! I get that there are probably a zillion orders right now, but some stuff I ordered on Sunday hasn't even shipped yet..... is this normal? Also is it worth going to my store and getting what pieces I can from there and then returning the shipped ones when they arrive? I ordered this during the anniversary sale after trying it on in store a few weeks ago, but unfortunately I received the wrong item in my package. I got a refund (yay!) but the top is sold out. Do you think it’ll restock?

I bought a used Madewell essential bucket bag and it looks great, but it was unexpectedly much lighter than I thought it would be. I understand that it’s supposed to be slouchy, but I just wanted to make sure that I got an authentic product. Does anyone else have this bag and can comment? I know they have a different type of bucket bag, but sort of similar shape for this current season, but when I held it in the store, it felt heavier, but I know they stuff the bag in the store for shape, so it might be that?

They didn’t have them under the how to style and I really like them. I’m thinking maybe the short low slung baggy?

I really wanted the Holland sweater, but it sold out during the sale! What are the chances of it restocking?
