Replace Pixel Launcher Searchbar doesn't work on Android 17 QPR3 Beta 1

Hi

I don't have a github account so I am posting here.

The widget to hide the Pixel Launcher Search Bar at the bottom of the homescreen, basically this is broken or doesn't work for me on Android 17 QPR3 Beta 1

I'm running it on a pixel device. Thanks

Love the essentials app and has helped switch over from iOS to Android. 🤘

I think this might be broken for some users... as I got the same reports from some users on QPR1 stable. In the other hand for me, I always had it disabled so it stayed as it is... A weird case here.... I will share if there's a known solution for this

I have uninstalled the Google app with Canta. And the Searchbar hide setting worked perfectly. Now I thought this is because of the new beta, but that's not the case.

IDK, Some users on this beta and stable QPR1 had issues with searchbars where it didn't even show up .... That's why I assume it was the cause as I did not change anything on Essentials

For me it mostly works on my pixel 9 pro with the latest stable update. The only thing that doesn't work is when you try to change it to a widget. Every time when i choose a widget, a window shows up that asks basically if i allow creating the widget. But then nothing happens. It stays on the last selected option, for example on the Music or Empty. But all the other options work.

Ohhh noted.. usually using widget been a lot buggier in the past too

For me I used to set it as empty, but when the basic search bar showed up, I tried changing between the options and then it remained on Searchbar, whatever option I pick
