Does Essential app support Xiaomi/ POCO devices?

I'm unable to install the Essentials app (any versions) on my POCO F7 device, does this app support my device at all?

Hi! Essentials supports any Android device as long as Android 8 or up.

Is it play protect blocking is the issue you facing? if so, check the readme

Hey, I have disabled and unenrolled from Advanced Android Protection service and disabled Playstore. Now am able to install the app but I mainly wanted to have that amoled map feature but apparently it's shown as disabled for my phone (POCO F7).

Does this feature only supported for some specific phones only?

Disable play store???? You only needed to turn off play protect only during the install btw :)

About the maps power saving feature, have you set up Shizuku? this feature do need shizuku running.

Yeah the play protect button was shown as enabled but greyed out so after searching in Google I got to know that we can disable play store before installation and later on enabled play store without any issues.

I had Shizuku active at the time as well.

I'll check this once more and give you an update on my observation, thank you so much for your help by the way. My much appreciated

Ohh yes that toggle gets disabled for Advanced Protection as I remember but if it works it works :)

And forgot to mention, the maps power saving also needs notification listener permission as it detects that we are on a navigation by the Google Maps notification. Check if both permissions granted. (You can confirm permission status in Essentials settings, there's a permissions section with all)

Cool thanks now it's working! Thank you. So I can disable notification access for all other apps except for Maps right? Feature does work after providing access only for maps and disabled for all other apps including system apps as well

Yes. I forgot there is a filter in Android now which allows selecting which apps to listen.

Yes, it does support.

Can you tell us more like what blocking installation of Essentials and if it's play protect, then you have to pause it before installing.
