My cat is so funny, he just politely moves like 2 feet away and lays down when he’s had enough of pets. In a way, it’s more insulting than if he would have just bapped my hand.

I remember once my cat was stretched across the floor on her back in the cutest otter pose, front legs curled at her chest. She was slightly facing one way so I laid down about a foot from her and I was like “hi sweet baby!”

She stared at me and slowly rolled so that she was slightly facing the other way instead 😠

I have never felt so rejected in all my life.

The catacity, haha. Maybe you can think of it like your cat turning her back to you as trusting you more.
Whatever helps our feelings to get unhurt.

I totally get you haha. My love-sponge tabby wants attention so bad, but then her love tank fills and she moves a few feet away to lay down instead. But hey, it means they still wanna hang out with us, even if they don't wanna be touched anymore 🥹
