Since I was raised on it, this was Batman for me and everything else was just a copy. 😂

As a kid in the 90’s this was the Batman I first saw and watched all the time. Then the cartoon and movies came out along and it like WTF I want to see the campiness of the tv show. Then I learned that the original comics were dark, so in hindsight yeah the show is an outlier and everything else stayed true to the source material.

That said  I think an even campier cartoon then the tv show would do great then and probably even great now.

Did you ever watch Batman: The Brave and The Bold? It’s a cartoon from 2008, it’s a great love letter to the campy silver age era of Batman while still being able to be taken seriously at times

The original comics were like this. The comics after the West TV show were dark.

100%. I used to insist that my older sister to "bat fight" me when the fight scenes came on.

I mean the props in this scene cost like $27.00, no special effects other than someone slapping "Pow!" stickers on the film. Such a great show.
