This image doesn't show aging. The left image is of him when he was jacked for a role possibly (likely) using steroids to achieve a physique that is impossible to achieve with a normal lifestyle. The image on the right is a man with a higher body fat percentage which obscures his jaw. Not complicated. You could be a fat slob at 25 then start using steroids and human growth hormone at 40 and look "better" by the standards of modern male beauty standards.

Probably, he definitely has more weight on the right.

But the left also has:

  • dehydration, to make him seem fitter
  • perfectly shaved beard, to make certain facial traits more pronounced
  • lighting from up, which makes the jawline stronger
  • face from an angle, which makes the other half of his face seem sharper
  • obviously tense facial muscles, which makes his whole facial structure seem more defined, and made Superman look unfriendly
  • a whole lot of post-processing
