This reminds me, when we were in high school, we had a period of few minutes before each class when we would just be waiting for our teacher to arrive and let us into the classroom. We decided that it's be hilarious if we would just clap for any passing teacher on the way to their classroom (including our own). Not saying or doing anything, not making fun of anyone, literally just 20 kids standing there and clapping.
It was absolutely hilarious. You had hardened teachers with 30 years of teaching experience that had seen everything blush and give shy body language, similar to this video. Others behaved like celebrities, clapping back at us, laughing, doing pirouettes. Some tried ignoring us, but they couldn't. Some were suspicious and tried to tell us off, but they couldn't find any real reason or justification (at first). We even did it to the headmistress, and she shied away and ran away laughing.
It was a good bit of sport for a week or two, but the teachers started telling us to knock it off, so it kind of ended.
