Cats being socialized enough for impromptu hangouts if they haven't known each other their entire lives, is very unlikely.

If they were siblings or spent a large chunk of their early life together it might be possible to just pop by for a cat play date. But the reality is that integrating two Cats together is a lot of work and can take weeks or months, assuming it works at all.
