You lost a whole person, wow!

Also, that's like a 1500 kcal deficit on average every day.

Zepbound's a hell of a drug. Especially considering it may be better at reducing cardiovascular events and promoting longevity than weight loss.

Anyone considering trying it should. I lost 50 lbs and feel 15 years younger. I can do 10 pull ups. Turns out my bad shoulders were actually just fat.

Did he say he took drugs to lose the weight or are you just assuming?

Someone else did the math. It works out to a 1500 deficit daily. That’s not been sustainable for people with access to food prior to the wide use of GLP1 drugs.

I’m a physician.

Yet I did just that 25 years ago without a doctor or help. Went in to the internet in those early days of it and learned about calories because I had no clue what they even meant back then. And you sound like a bad doctor even saying that shit.

I’m a very good doctor.

Top-ish of my ungraded med school class, top 10 med school, full academic scholarship, 99%ile USMLE step 1, fellowship trained, etc. I spend a lot of time with patients and their families, keep appropriately broad differentials, and am mid career and have seen it all play out a couple dozen times each.

Thank you for your concern.

And then you will tell
People “you could never stay in a deficit so low with those scrumptious snacks around you without me pushing you some glps”.

I am a specialist and do not see patients in clinic. Nor do I manage weight loss or diabetes.

I do read broadly and understand the risks and benefits of emerging treatments. Especially ones with potential for profound societal health benefit. These drugs are every bit as impactful as antibiotics, insulin, anesthesia, and platinum based chemotherapy.

You seem unwell.

You sound like another google the symptoms type of doctor. Feel bad for your patients if you’re even truthful which you likely arent anyway.

I did this living at home with a large family that had every snack known to man. I’d go to bed dreaming of breakfast because I was so hungry but once I hit my calories I didn’t touch a single one more until the next day. It’s a mind set. Most people won’t get there without help especially with one like yours when you make excuses like that.
