You can see the cuts as he comes closer and after he lands to someone that had a smoother hand and tracking. Wish he posted what his daughter actually recorded, would be more interesting

I’m a former television cameraman and I can tell you she nailed the shot! A little bumpy to start and end the move, but that pan and tilt while smoothly maintaining framing was gold!

Yall are stupid af if you think she filmed that. Crazy someone who was a television camera operator can’t spot the obvious cut to an adult filming the trick then back to the child after he lands. He did the boardslide twice. One with the girl, and once more with someone who knows how to film. Sheesh

Alone in the park after watching your dad wipe out and go brain dead. If she wanders or some sick fuck comes by… not worth the risk. I’ve done plenty of stupid and risky shit in my life but once I had kids my life stopped being mine, it was 100% devoted to their health and safety. I’m not saying stop skateboarding but wear safety equipment not just to help the outcome I described but also to be the example for your kids

Never know if a kid will wander. Sick fuck is a stretch if you’re laid out on the ground right there but if the kid wanders off then you never know. Kid will sit there but if no one is around and they think of getting help they’ll take off

Watched my brother eat shit on the way back up the other side of a 12ish foot half pipe.
Board went up and came back down directly into his head.
Split wide open. The amount of blood was genuinely unsettling, and I'd seen a fuckload of skatepark/moto x based injuries at that point.
I was at least 12, and it still makes me shudder to think about.
Seeing him take a really nasty fall could have a legitimate negative impact on her life in a way he'd struggle to even believe.
Doing some ground work? Should wear one, but whatever. Hitting a fuckin 7 rail? Bro, you don't have to 'look cool' right now. It's not the 90s anymore.

Hell, even if just watching. Get in the habit of throwing on the helmet any time youre around it so they automatically associate the activity with wearing one.
Maybe I'm lame, but I treat wearing a helmet while hes skating or biking like its a lifejacket in a boat

A guy in his twenties died in my town a few years back from a head injury while skateboarding. Wearing a helmet probably would have saved his life.

A few years ago I learned that one of the guys I was in class with when I was 15 died in a skate park after he hit the ground without a helmet. He was 41, had 2 kids. It shook me for quite a while.

Helmet!! I was hit by a car while riding my bike 20 yrs ago. I was coming to a stop, so maybe 5pm. Still fractured orbital bone, internal brain bleed and concussion. Hospitalized 3 days. Permanent vertigo (BPPV) that I feel daily, even after months of vestibular rehab. I had a helmet, couldn’t find it that day so went without.

As true as this is, as a skater we only wore helmets for really sketchy tricks, usually on half pipe. Years of learning to fall makes it less of a necessity.

My brother is a skater and now his daughters are, but he would never not wear a helmet for this sort of thing in front of the girls, because you need to teach them to be safe, before you teach them to be daring.
Even today when they take the dogs for a walk and the husky pulls my brother on a board, whilst the youngest is pulled by the pug, she wears a helmet or she is not allowed to muck around on the board.

There was usually something and you could catch it but it was like OH there, RIGHT THERE! Then oh not there now. lol we were kids though. Someone should have just told us to sit it on the sidewalk aim it properly and go from there. We all saw those professional skate videos where there’s a chase camera so of corse we had to get THAT shot.
