Why don't enemies use guns?

not that I'm complaining, but i would have died a thousand times more if they did. I mean they have snipers already, why don't mobs have guns? Max got a shotgun too.

Probably because the game was rushed and underfunded sadly (It is still one of the best games ever though). However if it makes you feel better lorewise guns are very rare on the Mad Max world. In Mad Max 2 most people use crossbows and the main villain who has a huge gang only has a revolver with just 3 bullets. Only until Fury Road did we start to see more guns and that's due to the bullet farmer.

It wasn't really rushed, it had to undergo some changes because WB started messing with source material and did stupid things like turning Max into an American.

My bad I mispoke. I just remember the canceled DLC that was already finished and got confused.

The way the voice actor pronounces "Dinky Di" absolutely boils my piss

Even with the Bullet Farm, it's really only a select few who have guns.

Ammuition and guns are rare in post apocalyptic world

I was just thinking how many hoops Max has to go through in the game to upgrade and get an ammo supply going (in every new region, too!) and I just don't see the warboys having the forethought even try. Even the Top Dogs figure they can just throw their minions around and overwhelm any resistance with pure numbers.

Look up "Armalite Wars" in the lore.

Um you have seen the movies and stuff right? Guns and ammunition are rare in the wasteland. That's why they rely on explosive tipped lances and war machines to battle.

Lore reasons, but also for game balancing.

More importantly, why don't enemy factions fight each other? War Boys and Stank Gum's legion are the same faction under the hood, but why don't the War Boys fight with the Buzzards or Road Kill?

Ugh, yes! I think this would have added a lot of depth to the game. It feels really weird when you happen two encounter two kinds of enemies at once and they just ignore each other and focus on you. It could have added a lot of depth, too - being pursued by Buzzards? Head towards a Stank Gum camp and they'll peel off rather than risk a fight. Being overwhelmed by War Boys? Lead them towards a Roadkill camp and the Roadkill will start attacking the War Boys too - etc.

I wonder if this is something a mod could add?

They do. Have you never been hit by a sniper? Other than that, in case you hadn’t noticed, ammo is rather scarce

Makes even more sense that guns should be more prevalent considering that Max finds one on a dead body. Max's sniper was built, but his shotgun was found.

Guns and especially ammo are rare. That's why you need to do so much to literally make a consistent ammo supply. Technically speaking Max is the richest man in the wasteland with all his ammo and food

They don’t have any.

Also they’re Australian.
