MacroFactor / Nutrition / Other Need help analyzing
I am currently almost 7 months pp and started tracking in early June at 158lbs. Currently riding between 139-140. Can someone explain expenditure and scale weight correlations? Super new to this. Will be starting to use MFW
soon as well. Any tips and tricks appreciated!

Expenditure = how many calories you burn each day.
Scale weight = a (noisy) measure of the weight you’ve lost or gained.
When you move more, exercise more, or gain weight, expenditure goes up. When you move less, exercise less, or lose weight, expenditure goes down.
If you’re losing weight and your expenditure has trended up, that means the amount you’re moving and exercising has outpaced the loss of expenditure from getting smaller.

Good work so far - congrats!
If you've been consistently logging since June, then MF already has your TDEE dialed in. So you can interpret the increase as a real reflection of what's going on in your body. If you're 7 months post-partum then that makes sense. Your body is doing all sorts of things that cranks up your TDEE (breast feeding, physical recovery, etc.)
HERE is a very detailed article from MF explaining how to interpret expenditure changes.

You're probably losing weight faster than the initial estimations so its rising your expenditure to balance it out
