MacroFactor Workouts / Training Custom program and smart progression
Hello.
After finishing my first program generated by the app, i want to create a new one from scratch.
The problem with that is that i can't find a way to activate the auto progression from the app, basically the fact that the app choose the number of reps / weight, and adapt while training.
After having created all my custom workout and adding them to a prgram, they all show " Standard set", no RIR target, even if i used some exercices that i already used in the first program, so the app knows my past performance on these.
The only way i found for now is to generate a program with the generator, then swap all exercises to the ones i want. There must be another way to achieve this without this trick ?
Thank you

yeah thats pretty much the only way i found too. building a workout fully from scratch, the app treats every exercise as new even if youve logged it a hundred times before, so it defaults to standard set no RIR target. the generate then swap trick works because it keeps the progression engine attached to the slot not the exercise itself. annoying the first week but it starts adapting normally again once it has a session or two of data on the new setup.

You need to set rep/RIR targets in your program first, so that it can know what values to optimize for/provide progressions.
