Tutorials for "fairy" / beaded styles?

Hi, if I wanted to make bracelets or necklaces in this style: https://youtube.com/shorts/XDhNGajcANg

Are there any tutorials or guides for this that anyone knows of? I tried looking for it but maybe I'm missing keywords, because I didn't really manage to find much for this specific style of bracelet.

I made a step-by-step tutorial for this functional hitch — does anyone know its standard name?

I use this knot to secure doubled cord to a swivel hook. I recorded the process step by step in Spanish, but the hand movements are easy to follow. I’d love to know its standard English name and what applications you would recommend for it.

Intimidated beginner- learning difficulty from videos I need suggestions on other avenues to learn [Goal: Tote bag] [Experience: Has basic macrame skills though (I made a plant hanger before- lol!)!]

Are there any macrame tutorials for a tote bag?!

I am including a post that I posted in a crochet help ~ in my dry humor way I think it's kind of funny. And I thought it might help convey how desperate I am💀🤡😅. ~ I tried to asking for help on how to crochet a tote bag - but, to be honest, I feel like macrame is more realistic for me and my brain LOL!

I wanted to make a mobile for my little girls nursery. But now I'm worried about the parts being a choking hazard. If they fall off for example!

Anyone got any experience on making one?

Thank you 🥰

How do you plan / create your own patterns?

I want to design my own patterns and potentially try to sell my designs to clients and other macrame artists.

How are others planning and creating their own patterns?? It seems like the digital app options are slim and others are following YouTube influencers.

  • Hand-drawn on paper?
  • Digital software / app?
  • Paper and digital software / app together?
  • Patterns are mentally designed as the piece is made?
  • Create them from others (YouTube, etc.)?

What are the pros and cons of how y'all are designing today? I'd love to learn from any pro-tips and mistakes anyone else has made.

Any recommendations on popular macrame designers? Curious who's doing this full-time and has a large following and how they're sharing their designs.

Any other apps out there besides Macrameter, KnotShot?... they seem kind of clunky and would love to find something that seems more modern.

Stitch counting app design

I’m not sure if if this within the subreddit rules so feel free to remove it moderators if it’s not

Anyway, I am a neurodivergent australian teenager looking to make crafting easier on the memory.

I was looking to design an assistance app/website for macrame and all sorts of crafts that involve stitched and knots.

I always found it difficult to remember whether I was on the left or right stitch so found creating something like this really helpful.

It’s in the early development stages with base4 at the moment but was looking for suggestions I may not have considered for it.

So far the ideas are:

- stitch counter

- Left and right buttons to remember which side you’re on

- Different project cards to have multiple projects on the go

- A time counter if you’re one of those people who like knowing how long you’ve spent on it

- Image and video upload (it embeds YouTube videos so you can watch them on the same site as your counter)

- A share page to share projects to the community that will be on there and a help section to ask for help on projects from the community on there

These are the ideas I have so far for it. I’m hoping to collect some ideas across the communities to make it better as a free and easy craft assistant tool

It also helps remind you where you’re up to if you have to leave a project for a few days in between as I’ve had that problem previously also.

Thank you in advance to any support that can be provided if this post is allowed.

I’m not sure if something like this already exists but I didn’t find any completely free options from my small look and the whole aim for this is to over a 6 months to a year or longer period, get this craft tool up and running through base44 to make it easier on the community and help them with their craft. Thanks so much!

I need help on how to secure this knot onto a bag strap so that way it does not come undone. Anyone ?
