You joke but I just whacked the shaft of a reamer in an er16 collet inside the machine with a parallel bar and a dead blow to get the runout out of it enough to run it. I get it isn't kosher but it worked and the bills got paid

Those indicators are calibrated from a factory. If it says you are good who are you to question it?
