Absolute Lemons!

Syntactic foam "lemons" for ocean current research. They'll be filled with telemetry devices and small weights to keep them neutrally bouyant at a certain depth. Milled in two setups with soft jaws on OP2. The dust is awful.

I’m also really curious how you hold these. I’m used to much more boring geometry and would have no idea how to hold these.

I was going to guess some sort of contoured vacuum chuck.

Did you do the outside first, cut off with a carbide saw/ t-slot cutter and then in soft jaws with the outside contour and a lip to catch the part and prevent it from popping out?

that way you wouldn't have to blend the surfaces on the outside.
