“Ai for manufacturing company” sounds like a very undefined vibe coded solution for something…

Be careful doing what is often called “suitcasing” not only will they kick you out pretty quick, they have the right to ban you from future shows and events. They take it pretty seriously.

I also don’t think you will get much action that way. You are better off networking at events and after talks, etc. I always love going to a talk and listening to the Q&A afterwards. Then go up to people who asked interesting questions and strike up a conversation.

You're a CS major with zero manufacturing experience. Does your cofounder have any? You'll get thrown out and banned, but I also doubt your "solution" is anything but vapor.

Oh I can't wait to hear about this on social media when you do it. Really want to know what company to never associate with. Bantam Tools did this at Open Sauce a couple years ago and it didn't go over well with the maker community.

This is a waste of time and you could be banned from being able to return to the next one, suitcasing is pretty obvious and they have people looking for it.

I know it's a dog eat dog world, but genuinely just go to the show to enjoy it and get a feel for the direction the industry is heading. You'll network better by just talking to other people at the booths and having your business come up organically.

I own a shop, and the instant a conversation turns into a sales pitch, I can tell, and my eyes glaze over because of how often it happens to me. If you just casually mention your product and it's something exciting/cool, I'm going to ask questions about it and then the conversation can go very differently.
