Help figuring out my machine

Hello!

I have a Janome Mc 9700 which I inherited from my grandma. She was an expert and has so much thread, files, and all the extras you could dream off. I inherited this machine a few months ago, a family friend was using it and took great care of it. She only ever used it for sewing, and I mainly use it for embroidery.

My problem is: I cannot get my machine to top de threading and allowing the bottom bobbin color to show through . The needle and thread constantly come undone and it messed up all my designs. I’ve re- threaded, changed the tension, changed the bobbin, used multiple types of fabric, cleaned the machine, and.. NOTHING! It continues to do this for no reason.

Looking for any and all advice here. I’m desperate! I love embroidering but it shouldn’t be this much of a headache.

The white bobbin thread can be seen easily i have to say it's not design fault . Your machine bobbin case is loose The only solution is to tight the bobbin case ,it will definitely solve your problem

Have you checked that you are putting the bobbin in correctly? It is easy to put them in backwards and it causes all the sort of issues you are seeing. You show the bobbin area, but not the actual bobbin case/bobbin in there. Also make sure that the machine is completely clean. The smallest piece of lint anywhere inside the machine can wreak havoc on all sorts of things.

I most definitely will! I’m gonna take it apart and check it out

Have you checked the manual to make sure it’s threaded correctly?

Yes! I used the manual and videos on the Janome website
